DVD Talk review of 'Salon Kitty' (Blu-ray)
I read Adam Tyner's DVD review of Salon Kitty at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=45293 and...
I tried to sit through this because Ken Adams worked on it, but finally turned it off after 15 minutes of penis shots. I would love to give this film a bad review, but since I couldn't sit through 20 minutes, it wouldn't be fair to judge the film. I will say the first 15 minutes were terrible. I really should have forced myself to sit through the whole thing so I could slam it.

I'm a sucker for ridiculous, over-the-top movies, and Salon Kitty certainly fits that bill. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone expecting much of anything else.

Maybe it's me, I couldn't sit through 15 minutes of "Salon Kitty" and shut off "Antichrist" after 65 minutes (Dafoe ejaculating blood scene). Everybody else seems to love that film. I wasn't offended by the original "Last House on the Left" or "Texas Chainsaw Massacre". I don't know, maybe I'm becoming a prude or something.

I won't argue otherwise either. I can't really defend Salon Kitty, and I've come across more people who can't stand the movie than like it even a little bit. (The pendulum always does seem to swing to the extremes, though...no one thinks it's just okay.) Saying "yeah, but I like it anyway" is about the best I can do.
