This is VERY interesting to watch and learn. I never even knew that photocopiers had an HDD in them - why the heck is it needed anyway?!

Have you ever watched a copier in action? It scans the entire document, and then prints the copy. There are quite a few that enable you to reprint a previous job, I assume in case you didn't make enough copies the first time.

Plus they need to keep a copy of the document if the copier looses it's connection with the NSA.

I saw this story quite awhile ago and it made me glad I have my own printer/scanner/copier. While they're supposed to treat your data with the utmost care, they'll never convince me of that. -kd5-
