Does the Kinect attach to the top of your television?

Is there some kind of attachment packed in the box that will attach it to the top of the TV? I have seen some videos the kinect sitting on top of one, but I didn't know if it was a separate accessory you had to buy.

finally found the answer to my question. it does attach, but you have to buy the accessory for $49.99. Someone suggested "velcro", so i went to walmart and bought some and will use that.

Wow. So Camera + clip is $200? Good luck with that Microsoft!

Then again, what am I saying? This thing will clearly outsell the Wii

The Move had to have a clip, too, but it was only $20 or so.

The move camera, while shitty, is very tiny and can easily balance on top of the TV without a clip.

$50 bucks for the clip? Really?

And don't forget the added cost to light your house up like the sun so this thing works right. The Move has problems with the lighting in my living room, so I'm not sure the Kinect will work so great...

I paid $10 for mine at Fry's. Well worth it.

I had to buy the clip. The weight of the USB cord in the back of the camera kept pulling it off my TV.

Kinect works via infrared so lighting in the room isn't supposed to matter. At least that is what has been said. We shall see if that is the case and if it really works as they promise.

And a $50 clip is insane. But what is really insane is my wife has mentioned Kinect to me several times this past week. This is a woman who despises video games and won't even go near the Wii. So for her to actually show interest in this product basically stuns me. I told her I was going to have to see a lot of reviews and a cheaper x-mas package before I even consider buying this.

Seriously--$50 to clip the thing to the top of your TV? I really don't even want it there to begin with because it looks ugly, but, like you, my wife (who hates video games) seems to be interested in this. I'll too wait on reviews and some 3rd-party clip for $10.

This thing has a motor in it. I don't think you want it sliding off your tv when it moves around. Velcro should work.
