Synopsis:

Spoiler:

Still an hour away from airing in the West, but if you've watched it in the East, feel free to chime in.

When this show decides to get cooking, it really gets cooking.

I like the introduction of the older witch; hopefully she'll be back. Damon is cold as ice, as usual, but I'm sure Katherine will get out.

Great episode.

Wow. Very impressive episode.
I like the older witch as well. Hopefully they will bring her back.

Good episode last night. I'm sure that won't be the end of Katherine.

Did anyone else notice how many times they said the word Dick during this episode? At least 4 or 5.

Noticed the same thing. Was wondering if there was an inside joke I was missing or something. Totally random.

I thought that was weird as well.

Also loved that we notice the language rather than 2 girls getting killed pretty brutally.

So did we learn what Katherine needed the stone?

She said she wanted to "break the curse," but they didn't go into anymore detail.

Why did they leave the moonstone with Katherine in the cave? Was it incapacitated by the spell?

And why didn't they kill Katherine after they finally incapacitated her? That was their plan after all.

This episode moved so fast, I didn't have time to even ask myself questions.

Well Damon said he didn't kill her because he thought that would be too easy. I'm assuming with the way the show ended Damon will go back to ask her who took Elena.

I have no idea why they didn't keep the moonstone.

Re: The Vampire Diaries -- "Masquerade" -- 10/28/10

I'm half way through the first season of Vampire Diaries.

Who would have thought that CW's tale would be so good? Great stories, characters and acting.

Vampire Diaries owns HBO's True Blood.

Damn. Can this show get any better?

I'm not keen on the Tyler development, but at least they tried a misdirect with the two girls earlier.

Alaric needs something more to do this season. He's losing some of his badassness from last season, and Jeremy is quick to pick up the slack.

I also liked the introduction of Bonnie's cousin. Speaking of - did you poison the moonstone? Seemed like the she double-crossed Catherine.

Caroline continues her development in a good way.

Damon is as cold as always. Love it!

Loved the twist with the Elana and Catherine connection. Apparently there is something more going on there that will drive where things go next. Good stuff!
