Can anybody name these two older movies?
The first: I saw it on TV in the mid 90's or so, and it was on either TMC AMC or something like that. B&W movie that involved a woman who had to get to a certain location to meet her fiance. But somehow another dude gets in her way, and they're both annoyed by each other. At one point they have to share a hotel, and he sleeps on the chair while she sleeps on the bed. By the end they fall for each other. Not sure how descriptive that is.
The second movie: Junior year of high school my English teacher showed us a clip of a B&W movie that had factory workers, and a man working there, he falls for a woman who also works there or something like that. This is even less descriptive, I know. My teacher wanted to show it to us for the factory aspect I believe.
Thanks for any light shed.

I'll look up It Happened One Night, that's what someone on another forum suggested as well, thanks!
Second one: Wasn't Modern Times, it was a talkie.

There are hundreds of old movies about women who get derailed from meeting their fiances by the hero, who of course is more right for the woman than the hapless fool she's betrothed to. In IT HAPPENED ONE NIGHT, they both sleep in beds in the room they share, but they put up a curtain between them and call it "the wall of Jericho." (At the end of the movie you hear the horn blow.)
