Below is an email i sent to Toshiba support hoping for an answer. I searched the archives here and really couldn't find an answer. It probably was answered somewhere, but I probably couldn;t understand it :-(
"Hello, I recently bought a Toshiba TV model 27A50. It has a single PIP tuner. From my understanding, I need to use my VCR in some way to get it to work. Here is where my problem comes in. I watch TV through a cable converter box. The cable source comes INto the cable box's coax input. Then the cable goes to the VCR's coax IN. Then the VCR's coax OUT leads to the TV coax IN. Everyything is okay for now. I have not set up PIP yet. (Note: I also have an S-Video cable coming from my DVD player.)
From reading the TV's manual, in order to get PIP working I need to also have RCA cables running from the VCR's composite RCA OUTs. I ran them from the VCR OUTs to the TVs Video 2 INs. Now, PIP doesn't work. I changed using the remote between the three different PIP sources. The TV one shows the exact same channel the cable box is on, and the other two are just black boxes."
Something tells me that this isn't ever going to work. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for the time.
