They're just picking words out of a Hawaiian-English dictionary at this point.

I guess Vanished can make sense for this episode. For some reason, watching this show, it never feels like an hour. Things happen, come together and get resolved so quickly.

Re: Hawaii Five-O -- "Nalowale" -- 10/18/10

While last week was an absolute mess, this week they bounced back and brought back the fun.

1st of all, loved Masi Oka (Hiro from Heroes) as the eccentric Coroner. But, seriously his name....Max Bergman??

Also, love Michelle Borth returning as McGarrett's smoking hot girlfriend. Please Please bring her back.

I had to laugh when I saw Coach Ken Tanaka from Glee as the villain this week, especially a Filipino terrorist.

at McGarrett when he used the noise maker on that scumbag club guy who kidnapped the Ambassador's daughters who was roofied up.

Not sure how I feel about Taryn Manning as McGarrett's little sister. The scenes with her felt forced and just added in there because they had to write something for her.

McGarett and Danno had some fun banter this week as well.

Overall, a good fun week.

yeah a little strange to have her standing there acting all shocked her brother had some police this and that in his home and sort of demanding over the phone to know why... I mean come on, dad was a cop, brother is ex special forces and working as this -supercop- in charge of a special task forces with the Governor on speed dial.. and it's "Why do you have crime photos..."

then she goes and starts to take pics etc?? IMO, clearly setting up for the whole -sister gets drawn in to father's old case- cliff hanger for the end of the season. Calling it now.

but other then that not a bad ep.. as others have mentioned the cases really do seem to wrap up really quickly on this show but then again that sort of a staple for shows like this one. Worst case evaaaar, and 40min later it's 100% solved and wrapped up in a nice little bow.

I'm not sure I would like the show as much if they threw 4 say eps into trying to solve a larger arcing story line.

I'm not sure what they're trying to do with that character. So far, she's been a drag on the show.

Good episode, but I do wish they would give Kono and Chin more to do. I think the show works best when it's more of an ensemble (like the football episode).

The weakest part of this show is the sis and now the coroner. As soon as he appeared I felt a CSI vibe starting.

Also I am waiting on Dannos car to show up after his knee heals. In the pilot it was a new Ford Mustang.

Your already deducing that Max Bergman is a weak link after he was just introduced last night? I liked how odd he was, but I kept thinking about Hiro Nakamura since Masi Oka's appearance is essentially the same. He's only a recurring character, so it's not like we'll be seeing McGarrett and Danno all of the sudden working in a lab and examining trace and blood spatter.

She's the female version of Lt. MacReynold's from Magnum PI.

And she suddenly appeared last week? Did we even hear about a girlfriend before that?

Last week was the 1st time we saw her. She is stationed on the USS Enterprise though, so she will probably only be a recurring character.

Last week she came across more as a friend (with implied benefits) than a girlfriend.

You mean the Security consultant? He was cool, I liked McGarrett slapping the cuffs on him at the end and then once again saying "Book'em Danno"

Instead of using funds for the sis and Bergman they should have hired additional or better writers. Oh and lets not forget McGarrets geek nature and comments. I wouldn't be surprised to see him "all of the sudden working in a lab and examining trace and blood spatter".

Every show on television should have to include at least ten minutes of gratuitous appearances by Michelle Borth.

Re: Hawaii Five-O -- "Nalowale" -- 10/18/10

Agreed. McGarrett's girlfriend is smokin' hot. The sister can leave any time as far as I'm concerned. More Grace Park and Daniel Dae Kim would be better.

I was shocked when Danno was standing next to McGarrett and the Governor. I had no idea how short he is. They both towered over him. And what's up with that hair? His style is very... shall we see "unique".

More Michelle Borth the better! I only watched The Forgotten last season because of Michelle and Heather Stephens.

Hope we will see Catherine again in a future episode. I'm sure McGarrett will need to make another phone call to the USS Enterprise sooner or later.

And to address ^^ Joe Schmoe's comment. Scott Caan is 5'5"

Jean Smart, who plays the Governor is 5'10" and O'Loughlin is 6 feet.

Yep I spit my water out with this bit.

And I too enjoyed the horn to wake up the kidnapper ruffie guy.

Enjoyable show but I too would like to see a case drag on for more than one episode sometimes.

I thought the actor did a great job hanging half off of the chair, too.

Re: Hawaii Five-O -- "Nalowale" -- 10/18/10

Making the guy take his own drugs, then using the boat horn on him was awesome.

The only thing I wasn't sold on was a pudgy, creepy looking guy being so good at picking up women (normally you have to become President first) that someone would hire him to do it on a weekly basis.
