The Conversation - 10/25/2011
According to The Digital Bits, an ad before the menu on the new Apocalapyse Now BD set has confirmed this is being worked on for release next year. Of course, it's never too early to discuss an amazing film with (arguably) Hackman's greatest performance coming to our favorite format. New extras, perhaps? I sure hope so.

Can't wait. An absolutely flawless film that while not my favorite Hackman movie, I have no problem with someone stating it is Hackman's best performance.

FANTASTIC MOVIE.
one of the most underrated films ever, and is definitely a Coppola masterpiece.
I purposely never got this on DVD (have the VHS) because I wanted to see it in BR.
cant wait for this release.

Maybe you and I have a different definition of the word "underrated". It has nothing to do with comparing it to other movies. It's how people "under" "rate" the movie on it's own merits... meaning it's better than people think. Well, I think people rate it pretty darn high.

I think GreenVulture hit it on the head. The film itself is a fantastic work of cinema, but Coppola's better-known works tend to overshadow its brilliance to casual moviegoers.

I have to admit. This film gets heavily overshadowed by GF I & II and Apocalypse Now. Cuz it's not as "epic" as those other films I think.
Saying that...once this film is out on BD, I'll own the best that Coppola did. I never cared for his later work after AN. I do want to check out Tetro though....

I found that to be boring as hell when I first saw it. I'll see it again sometime...maybe I've matured to the point where I can see it and possibly be entertained by it.

Please report back when you watch it. I'm curious too how you will now see the movie.

Wait, was Snake talking about Conversation or One From The Heart? I know Tom is talking about The Conversation because there's no way One From The Heart is riveting in the same way as Wall Street.
