I was doing a price check on my wishlist, and suddenly there are these autumn leaves that are reading "save an additional 20%." I hadn't read anything here about that, like coupons available, etc.

Anyone know about this?

Thanks for the heads-up. For anime fans, DD has Bandai titles at 55% off right now and they do qualify for the FALLSALE promotion.


UPDATE: They already killed the Bandai deal. All prices shot up. Hopefully my order will be honored.

Did a quick search of about 11 items on my wish list...only 2 were a part of the sale, one of which was $13 cheaper on amazon before the discount...I miss the old DD sale

It says the prices shown "do not" include the discount. So with the code FALLSALE it should take 20% off the price shown.

First off, glad someone did the title change on the thread. I stumbled onto the sale just as they were implementing it, so there was NO context for the little brown leaves.

Next, when these DD sales come around, I notice that a lot of folks have a hard time finding things to get, but I've never failed to find a plethora of films to nab. Why do you think that is, barring opinions of the crappiness/non-crappiness of the sale or the decline of DD entirely? Is it a matter of each individual's taste in films?

A parting shot: This is the first sale that I've broken the news of, for this forum, and that makes me feel good. Not quite as good as the birth of my daughter, but a close second.

Got Winged Migration for $6.31 and Do the Right Thing for $7.66 on blu ray, best deals I found in the sale.

How's this - When I add the former to my cart, I get this message: "This item is a pre-order. It will ship to arrive on or around the scheduled release date. Oct 05, 2010". So it's a pre-order of an item that was released a week ago, and as such is ineligible?

I just spoke to a CSR about this and she told me that the item is actually out-of-stock, and as such not eligible for the sale. She also told me this sale will go through 10/22 (but don't hold me to that), and she didn't have any information on a possible sale next month.

And now they have "flagged" items that do *not* get the discount... even though earlier today they did! I was looking through my wishlist to make a single order rather than several smaller ones and in the 15-20 minutes it took 2 titles seemingly got pulled from the sale! I've also found a half dozen others that have the "banner" but also do not get the discount in the cart. Come on DD... get it together!

Same here ~ Batman Begins BD was down to $11.xx and a few hours later was bumped up to $ 14.xx

My fault for not pulling the trigger. Should have remembered who I was dealing with.
