Awesome deal. Perfect timing. I look forward to introducing my kids to this series. And, it's now dead. This one went quick - I got in just under the wire.

I checked the page while it was still alive and it died in the 5 minutes it took me to read some reviews. No big deal though. My price history shows I passed on it for $25 at Costco in April 2008 and it was $26.99 at Amazon in October 2008. At least this wouldn't be a blind buy because I watched the series as a kid, though I don't know if I'd like it now.
I was trying to investigate 3 things and didn't find them in the Amazon reviews:
1. Are there 9 DVD-10s or 9 DVD-18s in the set?
2. Did the Addams Family have laugh tracks, a studio audience, or no laughter? Few things annoy me as much as laugh tracks.
3. The reviews said this set was missing the pilot episode and the reunion special. Is that right and nothing else is missing?
It won't help now, but knowing these may help me pull the trigger next time it comes around

If this is nothing more than all 3 volumes in 1 package.. those were available at $6 each at Meijer not too long ago.. Whole set for $18 + Tx..

I thought the show holds up pretty well based on having watched the first season, but maybe it tanks in the second season like THE MUNSTERS did for me. As for the laugh track, it was applied with reckless abandon and is very emphatic and annoying. If you don't like laugh tracks, you would do well to stay away from this series.
