The last episode aired on March 26th. Originally this was supposed to come back in January, but SyFy pushed it up since the actors contracts are going to expire and they will make a decision on season 2 after these episodes air.

Just barely finished watching the last 4-5 episodes of season 1.0 about 2 months ago. I hope they resolve the situation with Adama's daughter in the virtual world soon. I want to see more of the development of the Cylons.

Wow, this was out of the blue. I noticed my Tivo recorded the 2 hour pilot this weekend but didn't think anything of it.

Hope this isn't bumping anything I have scheduled tonight.

Yeah it's really crowded, but as I mentioned in my OP the actors contracts on this show expire soon....I believe sometime in November. So SyFy had to move it up to see how the show does before they decide on season 2 and can re-sign everyone.

I think it'll be canceled but I won't be crying. That said, I'm still curious what will happen next.

Wow! Loving the new episode. I like all of the different angles and stories going on, just like BSG. Looks like were finally plowing into some action for real. Things are getting very interesting in the BSG universe.

I liked this show from the start and tonight was a fine return. Great to see some major storylines being developed. Loved that ending with Zoe.

Season 1 completed production almost 1 year ago and all the actors contracts are about to expire, so they want to see the ratings for these last 9 episodes before deciding on season 2. I read that SyFy extended the deadline to renew their contracts to sometime in November, which should give them enough time to decide if they want to make a 2nd season.

If season 2 does get greenlit, it probably won't air until Fall 2011 at the earliest.

So Clarice wants everyone to worship the one true God. They believe in him so much that they are trying to create virtual heavens in case their God is asleep on the job? What am I missing?

Alessandra Torresani was on Attack of the Show yesterday and said that if the premiere didn't do better in ratings than the half season finale ep, they were going to get cancelled. Not sure how true that is, but kinda demonstrates how dire things are if something like that gets mentioned during an interview.

This part of the show seems terribly half-baked.

One, we have to accept that they're able to reconstruct a perfect copy of someone just by looking at their browser history, XBox Live account, and gmail inbox.

Two, the monotheists are so fanatical in their beliefs that they're willing to suicide bomb themselves, yet don't enough faith in their god to deliver their immortal souls to an afterlife?

I hated everything about the Clarice storyline. Fuck that was boring. And what the hell was up with the medieval castle and ridiculous costumes?
Ugh I'm tempted to drop the show completely if that's the new direction.

I think you misunderstand the point. It's not that they don't have faith in their god, but that they're looking for converts among the ranks of the polytheists. "Ours is a heaven on Caprica" could be a strong selling point. It's also a way to induce the less than totally zealous to go on suicide missions.

I actually really liked the religious stuff and the terrorism parallel with current day.

The good thing was that there was no virtual world crap until that lame fight sequence with Zoe. To me the virtual world was the lamest part of S1.
