The Good Wife -- Season Premiere -- "Taking Control" -- 09/28/10
By djariya at 2010-09-09
Synopsis:
Spoiler:
Probably one of the best new dramas from last season. Glad it's back. Hopefully it can continue to do well on Tuesday's at 10pm.
Alan Cumming (Eli Gold) is a series regular for season 2
As far as Alicia choosing between Will and Peter. Personally for me, I don't like Will. I found him very arrogant and smug in alot of the episodes last season.

I recall last season there were probably 5-6 posts at most per Good Wife thread, but IMO it's such a good procedural/serial, and there is alot of continuing storyline, that it deserves it's own threads.
Most of the other CBS procedurals like Criminal Minds, CSI, NCIS will probably get only season threads this year when I get a chance to do them.

I watched all the episodes over the summer so I'm excited to watch it "live"

Well, this show hasn't lost any steam -- great as ever and IMO still the best show on TV right now.
Anyone else get the feeling that there's more going on with the new partner than meets the eye? He clearly has some sort of agenda.

And if she'd just tucked away her blackberry as soon as Will called, we wouldn't have gotten this problem.
They always cast good judges on this show.

Really good season premiere. I know there is a shit load of Law procedurals on television right now, but this IMO is the cream of the crop. It's not just a standard blah procedural as there is alot of serialized elements to it. Top notch writing, acting from Margulies, Chris Noth, Christina Baranski and even Josh Charles. Robert and Michelle King, who created this show, are IMO one of the best showrunners/writers for procedurals.
to Chris Sarandon's guest appearance as Judge Matchick. That guy was hilarious. Loved how he kept pushing Alicia's buttons and then she finally couldn't take it anymore and told him off.
It was a very tame sex scene, especially for network TV, but I enjoyed how Peter got sexually aroused when Alicia took control in the court room and later in the evening, took control of her. Margulies wears alot of makeup, but she does look really good.
I'm looking forward to seeing how everything plays out now that Diane and Will merged with that other firm. It was interesting at the end when Michael Ealy's character said he was going to be Alicia's mentor.
Even though Josh Charles does a great job playing Will, I think he is fucking selfish and I don't like his pursuit of Alicia. Glad that Eli Gold deleted the message. Peter isn't a saint either, but at least he did his time.
Oh and Kalinda, what a tease she is...the short skirts, dark stockings and high stiletto boots. It's too bad the character is lesbian. I did like last season when they introduced a potential love interest for her...Jill Flint from Royal Pains. I hope we will get to see her again.

This is one of the only shows I watch "live" (I let the dvr build up about 20 minutes so I can still skip commercials) because I can't wait until the next day to see it.
Will needs to grow up and Alicia is better off with the new partner as her mentor.
