I'm not even watching this show. I was in the kitchen making a cup of tea while family was in the living room watching it.
Did the producers actually give Bristol Palin the song "You Can't Hurry Love"?

Not often you see someone get a 3
And how the hell did Palin get an 8 for that?

Bolton. I didn't know they had paddles that went that low. He was terrible, but I've definitely seen worse dances on this.

So there is some talk about Sarah Palin (in the audience) being booed last night. I only could record the first hour, so I didn't see it.

When I was watching it last night I thought that the audience was booing the fact that Jennifer Grey only got 8s, but then they cut to Tom Bergeron and he was sitting next to Palin.

They were obviously booing for Jennifer Grey getting too low of a score. The crowd often boos for low scores. The crowd booed last week for a low score as well.

I wouldn't say that was obvious at all. Generally, when the audience boos the judges' scores, Tom make some kind of joke about it when the camera cuts back to him. In this case he didn't say anything at all.
The boos could have been for the judges, but they just as easily could have been for Palin, especially considering the fact the the show is taped in Hollywood, where an unusually high percentage of people tend toward the opposite end of the political spectrum from Palin.

Given the negative reaction to those boos heard during last night’s telecast of Dancing with the Stars, the producers will go the extra mile during this evening’s telecast and show that the crowd was directing their disdain toward the judges, not the visiting Sarah Palin. Many viewers misunderstood that the boos were meant for Palin, who had attended to the show to watch her daughter Bristol and was later interviewed on camera by host Tom Bergeron.
Bergeron told EW today that the audience actually had a bone to pick with the judges and the scores they gave Jennifer Grey and Derek Hough. “We are going to show footage from another camera angle. Thank God we had a camera on the grassy knoll!” quips Bergeron. “You’ll see the judges basically taking on the audience. They were upset they they gave Jennifer Grey an 8.

Anyone who was watching the show knows it was because of Grey's score. Right after the last judge gave her an "8", the boo'ing started. Palin had been sitting in that audience for who knows how long even before Grey's dance. Kind of odd people would start booing HER then! It doesn't even make sense.

Re: Dancing with the Stars - Season 11 - "11 Stars/Results Show" (09/27-28/10)
Sorry, but no. I'm happy to concede that the boos were for the judges, but these silly "it's obvious" and "anyone who was watching the show" comments are insulting. I was watching the show, and there was a very OBVIOUS reason that so many viewers concluded that the boos were directed at Palin - namely the fact that, immediately following the scoring for Grey, a spotlight was shined on Palin, and Tom went over and sat next to her.
I've watched every season of DWTS (did I just admit that?) and when a couple dances a great dance (like Derek and Jennifer did) and get scores lower than what the audience expected, boos ensue. It's happened many, many times before. I don't mean to be insulting, but I honestly did think the boos last night were obviously directed at the judges. Again, as has happened many, many times before. What happened last night was DWTS business as usual.

At least in the results show, they showed the extended footage of the judges scoring Jennifer Grey's dance number, and it's quite clear the audience was booing the judges for the 8's they gave her.
