Elvira's Movie Macabre
That's right, schlock fans! The Mistress of the Dark is back on the air, bigger and better than ever. Search your local listings, or go here to see if a station in your area is carrying the new show.
This week's show featured Night of the Living Dead, complete with pop-up video commentary.

That has to be an old picture or some major photoshop work. Cassandra Peterson is 59 years old.
If that's what she really looks like still...then WOW.

Re: Elvira's Movie Macabre
She's still pretty hot, especially for a woman leaning on 60.
I THINK it's coming on tonight at 2am for me (WSKY) but its listed as the movie name'Night of the Living Dead' and not Elvira's movie macabre.

Re: Elvira's Movie Macabre
Perhaps they just started airing this in my market or maybe I've managed to miss it these past few months (it's on at 3am), but I had no idea Movie Macabre was back on tv until last week. I'm too young to have seen the original show, but I have a few of the DVDs and I've always loved Elvira. So glad to see her back and still looking unbelievably hot for her age. Jack White even randomly appeared at the end of tonight's show to play a rimshot to one of her one-liners. Good stuff.
She'll be hosting Manos, the Hands of Fate sometime in the next few weeks. Now I'll finally get to judge if it really is the worst movie ever.

I am happy to see new episodes coming on the last several weeks. I figured we would just get a few episodes around Halloween, didn't even dream we would get her doing so many movies. It's like Christmas every weekend. She's definitely still got it.
Now, if only I could get more original episodes of the show on DVD.

Re: Elvira's Movie Macabre
Shes been on my local cable channel for a while. At first I thought it was reruns because she doesnt appear to have aged much.
As for the new Elvira, Hannah Minx gets my vote.

Re: Elvira's Movie Macabre
Apparently, the gig on the reality show was for someone to make personal appearances as Elvira when Cassandra Peterson was unavailable. Kind of misleading, but they never intended for her to be the "new" Elvira. Per Wikipedia, the girl was given a year long contract, but it doesn't appear she's doing it anymore.

Yeah I've been watching for some time now and I'm glad she's back. They use film instead of video so the show looks lkinda cheesy, but it's still fun. It airs twice here in LA over the weekends.
KDOC 12a Sat then at 2a on THIS TV 5.3
Then Sundays at 10p on THIS TV 5.3

Re: Elvira's Movie Macabre
Yeah, I like the back-to-back airings on Saturday nights. Immediately after the episode on KDOC ends, I flip over to ThisTV and watch it again. Four hours of Elvira bliss.

Its awesome to see these types of shows coming back. Here in the Boston area we have(channel 62 DirectTv not sure about Comcast)) Saturday night from 10- 12 Wolfman Macs Chiller Drive in Theatre followed by Suspense Theatre. And on Sunday nights from 10-12 is Offbeat Cinema. The films have some terrible pq but that adds to the charm. I am gonna check out that Elvira show when I get a chance.
Robot Monster is on Offbeat Cinema next week.
