i dont know how to turn it off. it pops up 4 mins into the movie at the bottom right of the screen...it doesnt let me highlight on or off to turn it off from the menu. i hope i dont have a defective disk, can anyone please help? trying to watch on the ps3

edit:i was searching around and apparently other people are having the same problem. there was a thread on blu ray.com about it...http://forum.blu-ray.com/blu-ray-mov...ease-help.html its a firmware issue. anyone who has sunshine on blu who uses a ps3 should check theirs too. this sucks

The 570 has the same problem. Unfortunately, getting Sony to acknowledge the problem was pretty impossible, and I ended up losing my patience with them.

Well fuck. I just tried watching this tonight and had no idea about this issue. Since the PS3 is my only blu ray player, I guess this is going back to Best Buy.

Don't know if anybody here has posted this or not in another thread, if so sorry. You can call Fox and request a replacement disc since it appears they have made new disc that will now work. The number is 1-888-223-4369, and they will send out the replacement disc to you. I just called and person who answered the phone said that they will be getting the new disc in 1-2 weeks and sending them out to you.

New disc? I worked fine on the PS3 before the firmware upgrades. Weird that Fox took responsibility on this one. It still plays fine on my Panasonic player.

So what is "enhanced viewing mode"? Will I be able to just watch the movie? Is enhanced viewing like a special viewing or bonus feature?

I ask because I have a Sony blu player, and as long as I can watch the movie, I'm ok.

It's a picture in picture kind of deal. Showing you details on the construction of the film, the actors, how and why they did this or that, etc etc....

See...if it went and stayed at teh same tone that it had...it would have a perfect sci fi film.

The fact that at point it totally changes...depends on how you accept it. I would have preferred the same tone and see where you went but....I still liked the change it went for.

Just called and got registered... took all of 1 min. They just asked what I was playing the disc on and for my address.

All she told me was that I should expect the disc in two weeks. No word on if I even have to send the disc back.

Got mine in the mail today. It was a brand new sealed copy with a new barcode stuck over the old one. Watched it tonight and it played just fine. Didn't come with an invoice or any instructions so I guess I'll give the old one away or sell it on e bay.

Got my new copy today and like matty said it came in case with new barcode stuck over sticker. Called same day as him, so 12 days total to get not to bad.
