Does anyone else find it tricky to find a stand for your Wega ?? I mean besides the 150 sony stand that neither swivels nor has weels ????
I got mad when I flipped through the Ikea catalogue, saw some nice stuff ... but it usually reads "fits most 32" TVs (max 130 / 150 lbs) "
now, my baby ist 180 lbs or so ... i wonder if i am ok with 30 lbs overload (plus, the receiver and stuff is not too light too ..
any ideas ??

I settled for a Sony stand. $200.
I don't need the wheel and swilvel.
Besides I think my TV weights over 200 pounds.
Having wheels would make the stand more prone to failure. They also look very good! http://talk.dvdtalk.com/ubb/smile.gif

I use a big, sturdy coffee table my grandfather built about 3 decades ago. I knwe it'd work cause i could stand on it and I'm 250, more than the TV!

Don't forget about the centre speaker that is usually placed on top of the TV.
For instance, my centre is Paradigm Reference CC450, which weighs probably around 30 pounds -- no lightweight.
On the other hand, the top of most Wega's are usually too narrow to properly place most centre speakers. Probably could put the centre on a bookshelf that is located just above the top of the TV.

Audioadvisor has a nice selection of stands. I'm using a Salamander Synergy with casters; its well made and will support anything.

my tv weighs over two hundred pounds, and i'd have one hell of a time trying to swivel that. i went with the sony stand. it goes well with the tv and it's made to be the perfect high so it's at eye level with my couch.

I purchased a great Tech Craft stand at Audio King (probably would be at Ultimate Electronics as well). It cost $180, but I think it looks better than the Sony stand with more space inside. And it swivels! http://talk.dvdtalk.com/ubb/smile.gif

Oh, and that stand was also made to go with the Wega. I have a 32" Wega and it's very sturdy, easily supporting my TV.

I'll second the reccomendation for the Tech Craft stand. It holds my XBR400 (185 lbs) just fine.

I have a AV stand from Lovan that works great. It is not that cheap though. The legs are hollow so you can fill it with shot.
BTW I bought it from http://www.soundcity.com
