Ok, I saw this on Kotaku and thought it might be fun to play here as well.

The Game

The goal here is to rank the Top 10 Video Games of all time. There isn't really a distinction on what that entails, but think about merit, impact on gaming, overall popularity, whatever.

With each post/turn, someone can either swap ranks between games on the list, or remove a game completely and replace it with a game of their choice. Pretty simple. Prefer Mario 3 over Mario World? GTA 3 over GTA 4? Think Mario Galaxy is better then Ocarina of Time? Change it!

Here is the Kotaku post that shows their results based on the moves made by various developers to give an overview of how this worked out.

Ideally I think we should keep personal biases out of the way and add/remove/swap games based on merit rather then throw silly or random games on there, but i'm not sure how we can judge that Also, it would be nice to leave a little explanation of your move and why you made it, but that's up to you.

We'll start the same way they did with the original list, based off of the highest rated games on Game Rankings. It's obviously flawed, so lets fix it!

The idea that GTA IV is one of the greatest games of all time is pretty laughable. It's a fun game, but it's not among the best of all time. Even of games from this gen, I'd rank Oblivion, Bioshock, and several others above GTA IV. A Link To The Past, on the other hand, is the ultimate Zelda game (better than Ocarina of Time, imo).

One of my favorite games of all time and imo a perfect sequel. It had so much replay value. The setting, new monsters and simple but effective puzzles made a great game.
