I've had my 575 since November, and had 0 problems with the thing... actually I love it.

However, due to moving and equipment changes, I hadn't bothered to use a sound level meter to set the speaker levels until now.

After carefully setting each speaker level correctly, I turned the unit off (standby) and back on.

The level settings were all zeros! All other values (large / small, distance) were saved.

I've tried this several times now, and they never save.

Am I missing something silly here, or is there a problem with the unit???

had the same problem but i figured it out. Ok, so my bet is that you are trying to set the levels thru selecting the channel level thru the unit or the remote. You have to press the test button on the remote and set the channels thru that. When you are done press the test button again and the settings should stick. Hope ya get it to work.

Thanks donnnster... I was calibrating through VE, so I had no reason to hit the test button. I'll try it and see what happens...

Also, I seem to remember setting up a 575 that it has independent settings for each input. So, for example, I had to do three set-ups, one for the LD input, one for the DVD input and one for the TV input.
