I remember these TV on DVD weeks used to be a big deal. If memory serves me correct, the last few haven't been anything special.

I'll probably bite on "Daria" if it goes below $40, which it should on a goldbox deal.

Doesn't do any good now, but I think this was below $30 a few months ago at Best Buy. I didn't pick it up, but I remember a thread about it.

Be interesting to see how much Ken Burn's The Civil War will be. I have not seen it since it's original broadcast, and would love to revisit again.

And yet, I still wait for them to do the obvious with these TV-on-DVD Gold Box deals:

It was $27.50 for "Daria" at Best Buy on release week if you price matched their website error.

I'm curious about "Civil War" box price. I'll be looking Monday.

The Happy Days are the ones without the original soundtracks right?

I may buy the Taxi one, depending on price, I have Season One, but if the price is right....

I'd get Faerie Tale Theatre if the price was right.

It wasn't a website error, it was a BestBuy.com Deal of the Day.

Doctor Who: the Complete Specials is a lightning deal for 21.99 right now. I haven't been following that, is it a good price?

Jeeves and Wooster has never been issued with subtitles has it? (Even R2 in the UK?) --Peter

Those of you who already have either Happy Days or Taxi, do either of these sets come with English subtitles? Thanks.

Looking at my Happy Days fourth season set, I have to say no. They are, however, closed captioned.

How do the Happy Days DVD episodes differ (if any) from the original TV episodes?

I've seen this price for taxi or even cheaper when they have paramount tv sale at family video or DD. I don't think the prices are that impressive.

When do these prices go live? I am interested in something that goes on sale in a few days, but do the prices go live 12 AM eastern or pacific time, or sometime else during the day?

Most days I get an e-mail sometime after 3 am eastern time regarding the DOTD, so I'd guess sometime after midnight Pacific time.
