That 2-week wait on the finale is going to be tough!

(Although I will get to see a few of the stars live next weekend)

I overall felt like this ep. focused on a lot of stuff I really didn't care about, but the last scene, that was good.

I hope what they are teasing isn't true,
Spoiler:
if they kill off Eric, I might quit watching this show. I just think he's too popular to die.
Then again, Alexander Skarsgard is becoming more of a commodity in Hollywood (he's got three movies on the horizon according to IMDB), so you never know.

I highly doubt they will kill him off

It was a good episode, but a weak lead-in to the finale. The main story between Eric/Bill/Sookie/Russell is good, but the secondary storylines are feeling kinda weak. The whole Lafayette and his island of misfit toys was dumb. Same thing with Sam at the bar.

I did like the scene between Andy and Tara, and the scene involving Eric and Pam.

I dozed for a few seconds, what was it that Lafayette saw while his boyfriend was still there that spooked him so much and made him pull away?

What was that gadget in Sam's room when him and Tara were going at it?

You would stop watching a show because they kill one character?
I don't want him to go but I wouldn't stop watching the show.

Seems like they're turning every character into something strange. The new waitress doing voodoo in the woods and I don't think Jesus is everything that he seems.

Werepanther chick needs to get naked.

Love this episode, although the best part of the hour had to be the "In Memoriam" feature.

"You know I love you more when you're cold and heartless."
With all these Bill, Viking Eric, and Sam flashbacks, I would like a peek into the Eric and Pam backstory for next season.

Eric's ringtone ("Ain't We Got Fun")

Mmmm...what the heck did the new Merlotte waitress actually give Arlene? hot dog water??

I agree.

I liked the Hoyt and Jessica scene, but all the side stories are lame.

Does anyone honestly care about Arlene and her baby? Way too much time spent on that storyline. Besides the scenes with Eric and Russell, I thought this was the weakest episode of the season. Have we gone an episode without seeing Tara's lip quiver? I don't think so.

He transformed into a luchador for a few seconds. It was very strange.

I completely forgot what happened with Sam at the end of last episode... why was he in a drunken rage this episode?

Considering that she, Terry, Andy, Hoyt and Tara are the only NON-supes on the show, you kind of need a more normal storyline for balance. In that respect, I don't mind it much. Plus I seriously doubt there is anything normal about this baby.

Well and that is much the way it is in the books. The idea (which the show has only glossed over) is that the invention of True Blood allowed the vampires to have the "Great Revelation", admitting to the world they exist since they no longer needed actual human blood to survive. Weres are still in hiding as are all these other creatures we've seen (maynads, fairies, etc.). Besides who wants to focus on mostly normal people?

The "In Memoriam" bit was great indeed. Overall a solid lead-in to the season finale.

I liked Pam's line to Bill at the beginning re: Sookie: "This is about more than your relationship, you infatuated tween."

Yeah I loved the in-memoriam bit... A bit of a meh episode considering the season, but loved the ending. My dream for next season would be to let Eric and Pam just fuck shit up as vampire Vikings. Their scenes together just get better and better.

Man, this season has been flat out awful. If you tune in for the first 5 and the last 5 minutes, you pretty much see everything of worth. I can't stand what they've been doing with Sam, Lafayette, Jason, Tara, Arlene etc. Those storylines kill the show each week. I used to love the show but this mess is getting out of hand, so damn boring. Characters I used to like, I now loathe... and the whole Jason/Werepanther girl storyline might be tolerable if they got a girl who was even remotely attractive. Stackhouse losing his shit for a girl who looks like she let the niners run a train on her? I don't think so.

That's what I'm feeling too. I don't hate the other storylines, but compared to the awesome main one, they end up feeling somewhat boring.
The show also feels a little disjointed this season which hurts it some. Everyone is pretty much off doing their own thing without much crossover.

you are absolutely nuts. this season has been infinitely better than last and probably on par with the 1st season.
