What Retro Game would you like to see upgraded?

What old school retro game would you like to see upgraded onto a Nintendo Wii, XBox 360 or PS3?

I see that they are upgrading Goldeneye 007 onto the Nintendo Wii. I guess this is because they could not get the original N64 title on the N64 but it would be a great hidden feature on the game if you can unlock the original N64 game with that game. They did it for Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings I loved how you could unlock the Indiana Jones and The Fate of Atlantis.

I would love to see
Donkey Kong 64 remaster with a way to unlock the original game
Diddy Kong Racing would love an upgrade.

For Upgraded titled. That means same levels, same design. Only thing different would be online play which I hope they do on certain titles and better graphics.

Are there any games you would like to see as an upgrade?

A bunch of the old school EA games -- stuff like M.U.L.E., Archon, Seven Cities of Gold, or Mail Order Monsters.

i know they have the Bionic Commando: Rearmed games now, but i would like to see them do the exact same thing with the original Bionic Commando for NES. same story, same levels and especially same Hitler last character! just with the nifty 2D upgrade. i loved that game so much and have such a great story of my completion with it and would love to replay it again this gen, just tweaked a bit.

Pretty much any of these. All would be great XBLA titles, some could be even bigger (Seven Cities of Gold).

Same answer as before:

Blast Corps.

Although I already know I don't have the time or patience to Platinum everything like I did on the cartridge back in the day.

Elemental Gearbolt, if they could actually bring back the light gun. Really, I'd like a bunch of LG remakes like Point Blank and Virtua Cop.
King of the Monsters would be good, with all the destruction you could do with today's consoles.

Never going to happen, but I'd love a Super Mario All-Stars Wii. I'd also like to see a WiiWare or DSiWare upgrade of Metroid II: Return of Samus from the original Gameboy.

Yup and in addition, Urban Strike. I think that the change to the 3D isometric view was fine but it was poorly done in Soviet Strike and Nuclear Strike.

I'll add Strider and Starflight which is the best game that's Star Trek but not in name.

Oh, and Phantasmagoria. I'd love to see what developers could do with that franchise now.

I wish they would have made that third game about Stauf opening a shop and collecting souls or something like that.

Apparently the creators of the first two are trying to revive the series which should be interesting.

Re: What Retro Game would you like to see upgraded?

I actually thought about this over the weekend. I thought that the old game Laser Squad would be great if it got updated and put as a download. The potential for this game is immense. I remember back in the day it was popular in Europe and now with online gaming it could really wow if done right.

There are actually so many old games from the 8-bit and 16-bit days that could have great updates that the list would be endless. Any of the old Ultimate games would be a great start (they have done a couple.....but more would be good), and personally i would love to see a new Underwurlde. Also a game like Carrier Command would be great.

An old game that i spent many hours playing and would dearly love to see re-invented would be Damocles, the sequel to Mercenary. Both games could be updated really well and would be fantastic.

Re: What Retro Game would you like to see upgraded?

I know its not console related but I want an updated version of Master of Magic. However, only update the graphics to higher rez, keep the gameplay exactly the same. And no, the recent release of Elemental by Stardock does NOT count. I hear that game is buggy to all heck and it is more Civ than MoM.
