WAR OF THE WORLDS, the action-packed, science-fiction television series (a follow-up to the original classic film!) returns to DVD with The Final Season. This science-fiction series focuses on Dr. Harrison Blackwood's team of resistance fighters, who seek out scattered groups of aliens and foil their attempts to trigger world panic and widespread destruction. 5-disc set includes all 20 final season episodes. Guest Appearances by Jill Hennessy (TV's Crossing Jordan), Colm Feore (Chicago, Changeling), Mia Kirshner (TV's The L Word).
Five years after CBS/Paramount released the first season DVDs, the studio is finally finishing what they began (and rewarding patient fans) with an October 26th release of War of the Worlds - The 2nd and Final Season. This 5-DVD package starring Jared Martin (Dallas), Adrian Paul (Highlander: The Series), Lynda Mason Green (Night Heat), and Rachel Blanchard (TV's Clueless) is presented in the original full-screen video format, with English stereo sound. No bonus material is expected to be included. Here's a look at the studio-supplied final package art:

Ditto. Despite the changes, I enjoyed the 2nd season as much as the 1st. It'll be nice to complete the series.

Excellent, always felt ripped off they stopped at season 1. 
I remember being scared of the aliens when this first aired and I was a kid.

Wow my memory must be bad because I thought there were more than 2 seasons. If this is the season I'm thinking about I hated it. I'm sorry but the green blooded aliens were lame. The last good episode was the first episode where the season 1 characters appear.

I remember TV Highlander being in this, and admiring his green coat. I always think it is a gyp when there are no bonus materials included. I am sure some of these actors would have come back to do commentary. Throw them a couple bucks and some donuts/a box of Joe.

Yaay. I'm sure the show does not hold up too well... but I'm buying it regardless. The 15 year old me loved this show. Does anyone remember what this show was paired up with when on TV? Was it Friday the 13th?

I like the original movie and since they entire series is on DVD now I will probally buy them someday
