There are rumors circulating that there might be a new APC album after a long hiatus. I for one, would be beyond happy if this happens and a tour? Man, I''' drive/fly, do whatever it takes to see them live.

Yeah I saw some info on this on Blabbermouth last week. Seems like stuff is in motion.

I for one like APC much more than Tool so I'll take whatever they do.

Tool is a great band, but APC's melodic tone is more to my liking. Gmal2003 and I were just listening to them and bemoaning the fact that we got into them right after they finished touring for 13th Step, only to do that cover album out of contractural obligation and disappear.

I'm holding out hope for something soon.

For me, all this means is that we will have to wait even longer for another TOOL album. Just something about what APC did with the remixes and the covers album and the non-caring attitude it took towards it's career kinda rubbed me the wrong way. I mean, look at TOOL and how private and focused they were for the first decade of their career. Maynard went off to do the APC gig when the legal stuff was going down and TOOL has suffered because of it. Having said that, I love APC and will get any album of originals that they do...but 13th step was nowhere near as good as Mer de Noms...just like 10,000 days was nowhere near as good as Lateralus. Blame most of that on Maynard and his wine.

Exactly though, TOOL has 2 more records under their current label don't they?? Maynard isn't too happy about that and I don't think they are in a rush to get those last two done. Again, I can't say too much cause I don't know for sure what the situation is in full.

That last APC album though....I'm still not sure what the hell I think of it. I perfer TOOL over APC though.

Iread about these rumors last month. Until I see anything concrete I'll just wait patiently. Even though the cover album wasn’t the greatest 13th step was amazing, seeing them live with The Mars Volta was a real treat.

Also for what its worth on TOOL's official website its announced that the band is working on an upcoming album, so hopefully we should see something next year.

Just saw that APC is performing (I assume) on the Jimmy Kimmel show later tonight on ABC.

I am pysched and hope we get a new album.

Watched them on JK, wish they'd chosen something a little better than "Weak & Powerless", maybe "The Outsider" or something off Mer de Noms.

Yes, that choice was underwhelming to say the least. They played "Imagine" on the closing credits after that. I think it's on the Kimmel abc website
