DVD Talk review of 'Kick-Ass' (Blu-ray)
I read Jason Bailey's DVD review of Kick-Ass at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=44161 and... I have to agree that the film doesn't really resonate until it, well, kicks ass. The characters of Hit-Girl and Big Daddy clearly steal the picture. Imagine her being your jr High pal! A bully free experience!
But the film grounds to a halt when no one was being shot, stabbed, micro-waved, etc. The 'comic' interaction between the three nerds, and the absurd pseudo then not pseudo romance between the lead and his HS dream girl were yawn inducing. Glad it wasn't just me!
