What TV DEATH Affected you the Most ?

For me (Sopranos spoiler)

Spoiler:
Season 3 of the Sopranos when Ralphie kills the stripper he is banging by banging her head against the metal fence. It affected me in that i truly wanted to jump into the TV set to beat the living daylights out of Ralphie. Great actor who played Ralphie

Claire Kincaid. Lenny's face at the end of that episode said it all.

Re: What TV DEATH Affected you the Most ?

Teri Bauer= 24 season 1 (One of the most emotional scenes IMO in TV. Kiefer Sutherland's acting in that scene was amazing)

Renee Walker= 24 season 8 (Loved character on the show and again Kiefer was top notch)

Warrick Brown= CSI season 8/9= Tragic scene and William Petersen's acting in the season 9 premiere sold it so well.

Re: What TV DEATH Affected you the Most ?

In addition to those from 24, here's one from Season 5;

Spoiler:
President David Palmer.

Sure, Dennis Haysbert was just a guest star by that point, and I think The Unit had already started production, but it was still a shocking start to a great season.

In Lost ...spoilerized because I am sure some of you out there will watch it on home video only when it comes out...

Spoiler:
Juliet

I wasn't devastated by it or anything, it just really caught me off guard...I wasn't expecting it.

Re: What TV DEATH Affected you the Most ?

Spoiler:
Nate
on Six Feet Under. Really everyone on the show in the finale I guess had an impact, but to me his character was the main reason I loved watching so much. Also the fact that he died at a young age where most of the other main cast lived pretty full lives.

I also agree with
Spoiler:
the stripper that Ralphie killed
on The Sopranos. I hated the character a lot up to that point but that really solidified it for me. Her death was just so unnecessary and brutal I felt bad while watching it. I wanted Tony and the crew to give him the beating he deserved then and there.

Also
Spoiler:
Edith Bunker
on Archie Bunker's Place. Now granted the character wasn't used as much on this show as on All in the Family and really the show itself isn't as memorable, but for some reason it really saddened me when her character passed on. Those two episodes are probably the best of that particular series in my opinion and Carroll O'Connor gave one of his best performances.

While I can't fault you for trying, by putting the name of the shows inside the tag you make it useless.

My pick, from Futurama:

Spoiler:
Seymour

Laura from Knot's Landing. She had been on for about 8 years and decided to kill her off.
She left a tape for everyone that was very moving.
Also Lisa's death on Six Feet Under.

The Wonder Years;

Spoiler:
Dan Arnold

Granted, we only learn of his death through voiceover in the final minutes of the finale, but even though we never see his passing, he was such a rich and fleshed out character that I found it hard not to mourn him.

Re: What TV DEATH Affected you the Most ?

I'll note two, and I feel neither are spoilers because both in their own way should be well ingrained in the popular culture by now:

Bill McNeal, Newsradio -- Phil Hartman's death was stunning, and the off screen death/episode mourning the loss of his character by the rest of the staff was spot on perfect. The last season of Newsradio is well below the level of the other seasons, but it is underrated. Even if it had been flat out terrible, the renewal would have been worthwhile for the tribute to Hartman that episode served as.

Rosalind Shays, LA Law -- the McKenzie-Shays relationship was very up and down, and David E. Kelley really announced his arrival on the TV landscape by literally sending her down an elevator shaft. It has to be the most shocking TV death of all time in my opinion.
