DVD Talk review of 'Rambo: The Complete Collector's Set' (Blu-ray)

I read Ian Jane's DVD review of Rambo: The Complete Collector's Set at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=43595 and...

I have questions about the audio on First Blood. The original release of the box set back in 2008, First Blood only had a DTS 5.1 track. Does the same hold true for this release? The review notes that it is DTS HD-MA and I am not sure how accurate that is. If anyone could clarify it would be appreciated.

Re: DVD Talk review of 'Rambo: The Complete Collector's Set' (Blu-ray)

why didnt the review make any mention at all of the new cut of Rambo included on this release.
(and also availble on its own)
I mean the review says their is absolutely no reason to pick up this set if you allready own the earlier versions of the 4 films, but thats not true, seeing as how this has a extended cut of the Rambo.

also any one who has allready gotten their hands on this set, can you tell me if its a digi pack or if its individual cases housed in a nice box.

The new unrated extended cut of Rambo (aka John Rambo) is not included in this new box set...it only includes the original theatrical R-rated BD release....

When did that change, when it was announced it was slatted to include it, whats the point of releasing the set the same day as the new cut if doesnt include it.

Not to mention its called THE COMPLETE collectors set.

No idea...maybe it changed at the same time they decided not to release the extended cut on DVD and made it BD only?

There have been what, 4 different Rambo trilogy releases now (DVD and BD)? All with slightly different cuts/features, the bastards.

So annoyed that the extended cut isn't included with the boxset.

It has been confirmed over at the HTF by the reviewer there that this release contains the exact same four previously released discs, and that First Blood still only contains a "less-lossy" DTS-HD High Resolution audio track and NOT a lossless DTS-HD Master Audio track (like the other three have)....the packaging for the set is inaccurate as it does not make mention of this little difference, and the review here really should be updated of this...
