What is your movie soft spot?
Mine would be satanic bikers. I just can't resist a movie that is about or at least contains satanic bikers.

Noir, heist, jidaigeki, western, wuxia, chanbara, yakuza.
That covers it mostly. I want to see most anything of those types.
I can cut a film a lot of slack if it tries in one of those genres and stays true to 'the code' of them.

Those sports themed, family-friendly, feel-good movies where the team with a bunch of unheralded players come together at the end to win the big game.

Anything Pixar...my family knows these are the films I must/want to see more than any other movie. When the BR comes out, it is a must buy and goes under the Christmas Tree as my present. But, I must admit, CARS 2 is just OK on my expectation level for a Pixar Movie.
StarTrek..."almost" anything SciFi.
Date Night Movies with my wife, she loves it so I love it.

Zombies... and scenarios that require common enemies to come together and fight a bigger enemy. Ala' Jaws vs. Bigger Jaws.
And cute, funny Asian women doing awesome Kung Fu.

I have a bunch, but typing it out just sounds like I'm ratting off my preferred sub-genres (noir, dystopian sci-fi, medieval fantasy, etc.). Two definite soft spots, however, are "historical" wuxia stories and post-apocalyptic cinematography.

I have a soft spot for sci-fi, even if some of it isn't well made.
I'm also willing to give any horror movie a shot out of curiosity, and horror is able to hold my interest, even if I'm watching a train wreck of a movie.

Several smaller sub-genres like time travel, but, unfortunately for me, horror.
I love the emotion of being scared, so can enjoy most horror films. If it's under $5 and horror, I'll likely buy it. Very few have I hated to the point of vowing to never watch again, just the low-grade crude ones I've had the misfortune of accidentally viewing.
