Re: Louie (Louis C.K.) -- "So Old/Playdate" -- 07/13/10

Loved this episode! The conversation between him and cokey smurf (Ill never be able to call her anything else since she was called that on Californication) was so morbidly hysterical!

And who the hell names their kid "Never" ??

"I'm older than every baseball player, except Jamie Moyer, he still plays for the Phillies I think" that line cracked me up.

Loved that.

The playdate Mom wanting to punch her kid "in his stupid face" when she got bored of being a Mom was simultaneously sad and hilarious.

"I had a vein taken out of my leg last year" Even made my wife laugh and she doesn't like the guy.

I thought this was the best episode yet. Loved the stand up bit about sex existing only for making babies. The guy jerking off and thinking "I want a baby of my own to take care of."

And the psychologist stole the episode. Fucking hilarious.

Agreed very funny. Took my awhile to see that it was Jerry Horne from Twin Peaks (Or Sully in Commando)

She also played his wife on Lucky Louie

The scene at the school cracked me up with the different parents

I had no idea that was him. Somehow that makes the scene even funnier.

I think that's when a lot of guys realize that they are old. Brian McCann saying he was 8 when the NL last won the All-Star Game made me take a step back. Of course then I found out he was bad at math and was actually 12, but still...

This was a great episode, I can't really remember a show that has spoken to me as directly as this one does.

This episode was very funny. Glad I've slogged through the first couple episodes. The "old man" sex talk was . I need to find a chick like that.

Finally watched this episode last night - those two bits were the funniest moments of the season thus far. The line about the pets watching people have sex and thinking they're idiots was great too.

Not TV show related, but a friend picked up tickets for Louis CK's tour happening in another few months. I'm stoked!! I saw him a few years back in Royal Oak, MI and he instantly became my favorite comedian.

Didn't get a chance to watch this until last night, but I loved it. Definitely the best of the season.

I'm liking this show. There are some misfires, but overall it's good.

Hard to explain, but I like how lazy the show feels. I don't mean lazy writing or anything bad like that - but just the tone and feel of it... it's slower, not loud and in your face, and there aren't a lot of characters in each scene. Louis himself is pretty layed back as well.

Re: Louie (Louis C.K.) -- "So Old/Playdate" -- 07/13/10

Absolutely hilarious, but I actually liked the So Old segment more than Playdate. The stand up bits were also awesome and surprisingly really graphic. The line about animals watching humans have sex and thinking their stupid was awesome.

I loved the over the top sex scene with the blonde babe and Louis reciting old people things. "I voted for Michael Dukakis" "Who's that?"

The interludes with the psychiatrist were awesome.

"Well, you smell nice, too."

"Oh yeah, young pussy smells good."

It's funny because it's true.

Another great episode. I didn't realize until recently that Pamela Adlon was also the voice of Bobby Hill.

Yea I caught the show on Netflix streaming today. It was pretty funny. He is coming to town the same month as Penn and Teller. I would love to go see both.
