Also starring (as far as series regulars goes):
Christopher Gorham from Harper's Island and Ugly Betty
Anne Dudek from House and Mad Men
Kari Matchett from Leverage and 24
Peter Gallagher from The OC and Californication
Sendhil Ramamurthy from Heroes
Doug Liman, who directed the 1st Bourne movie and produced the last 2 films in the series is the Producer of this series.
Gregory Itzin (Logan on 24) will guest star in multiple episodes later this season.
FYI, the Pilot is 75 minutes
Looking forward to this one alot. Looks like Alias without the Rambaldi Mumbo Jumbo bullshit.

This is going to be one of the few (or only) new summer shows I check out. Not sure though, since I never really got into Alias and it resembles that.
Anytime I see a new spy show, I always get upset that The Agency was cancelled by CBS. That was really good, and seemed somewhat grounded in reality.

That's what I thought when I saw the trailer for this show - it's like Alias only with a blond Jennifer Garner. I have always connected Jennifer Garner and Piper Perabo as one person. They look the same, same nice personality, only that one is brunette and the other is blond.

I refuse to watch a show that focuses more attention on the color on the bottom of her shoes then it does on the script or acting.

This is on my watch list, based on the ass cheek shot of Perabo near the end.
Had the blind dude been on that beach, he would have regained his sight. That was one Jesus Healing Powered Ass.
Hallelujah.

It was played far too whimsical in the beginning, and my interest was waning in the last half-hour. I can see why it got an average grade in EW few weeks ago.
It's weird seeing CTB as the sane one.
And yeah, Piper's got some nice buns.

I watched the pilot on a whim, and wasn't expecting much. But I must say it really grabbed me and I'm definitely going to keep watching. It set the groundwork for a number of interesting story threads and should be interesting to see them play out.

Really enjoyed it. Some eyerolling stuff (e.g. Piper being able to waltz into a murder scene so easily, and her boss acting nonchalant about one of her agents nearly getting killed), but fun overall.
The action was well done, Piper made a good lead and I liked the supporting cast, especially the blind sidekick dude. I'm guessing USA has another hit on their hands.
(One thing I really didn't like: Piper calling the VW Golf a "crap car". )

Yeah, the pilot was OK - not bad, but not especially great, either. But God help me I'd forgotten how much I love Piper Perabo! Had she gone to my college in the early 90s, I would have been crazy insane for that girl. I dunno why, but she's just absolutely perfect.

I really enjoyed it, although it wasn't perfect. I agree with Fist of Doom's comments, there was definitely a few eye-rolling moments, but other than that it was a fun and fast paced 75 minutes of TV.
Piper Perabo is a solid lead and I think she brought a tough and vulnerable side to Annie. I did not catch on right away that Chris Gorham's character Auggie was blind until I noticed he made no eye contact with Annie in every scene they were in.
I have to say that Tim Matheson is turning out to be a solid TV director with this Burn Notice and White Collar under his belt. He did a great job shooting the car chase sequence and alot of the action scenes including the sniper taking out the Russian.
The producers of this show did a good job with the casting. Kari Matchett is great as Annie's boss. Peter Gallagher is always solid and I liked Anne Dudek as the sister.
They definitely have set up an interesting arc with Annie as the CIA is basically using her as pawn to bring out her mysterious boyfriend who I assume is some kind of assassin.
Yup, I think USA definitely has another hit on their hands.

Re: Covert Affairs -- New USA Show -- "Pilot" -- 07/13/10
I think reading other's comments kinda helped me get into focus what else i liked aside from perabo's attractiveness.
It had somewhat slightly implausible/unrealistic situations like Burn Notice (her getting back into the murder scene and interrogation scene later) but was grounded in reality in that people will get killed and it wont be a zany A team-esque show. I like programs that have real consequences, and a real element of danger.
It had fun stunts and played up action elements like the car chase, which is fun to watch.
I was afraid they were going to make her invincible with all the "top of her class this, best that" talk in the beginning, but she was not winning her fight in the train station. I thought that worked, because she is still a trainee agent, and has room to grow and learn.
There is an element of her superiors not having her best interests at heart and using her, which fit into the Blind Guy's comments that sometimes your mentors will turn out to be asses, and the people who appear to be asses to you end up being great mentor's (paraphrased).
Overall i think people are on the money when they say this is a great USA show and fits in well with the rest of their programming. I am actually looking forward to this now.

Not bad. I'm glad they didn't make her invinsible. Looks like plunging necklines is standard dress for female CIA employees.
They seemingly filmed a bit of this in DC, but that subway scene was most certainly not DC (even with the 'Smithsonian' station sign).

According to IMDB.com, most of it was shot in Toronto.
