DVD Talk review of 'Touching Evil: Complete Collection'

I read John Sinnott's DVD review of Touching Evil: Complete Collection at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=43211.

How does this compare to the original DVD release?

I don't have the original, but I assume it's exactly the same.

In this case, it looks like there is no other region 1 release, and I don't feel like googling the region 2 set to explore the differences.

But, imo, the number one goal of any DVD review of a DVD that has been released previously is to explore the differences between the releases. The reviewer doesn't have to own or even rent the older release, just spend 5 minutes on the net checking reviews and details.

The most important difference is changes in the A/V quality, and you have to have access to the earlier set for that. Checking the net often gives you inaccurate information. For example, this set was released in 2004, but the original release is OOP and a 5-minute search of the net might lead one to believe that there was no other region 1 release.

I think that was my point...as I have the original release I was wondering if there was a leap in picture quality making a double dip worth it.

It is one of my favorite shows...

Ok, but could you look at the review and answer if there are any differences in content or special features?

Awesome, thanks! Looks like the removed most of the special features, but unless that Demented Detectives is a nice doc/featurette, they aren't very significant.
