DVD Talk review of 'Cinematic Titanic Live - Danger on Tiki Island'
I read Brian Orndorf's DVD review of Cinematic Titanic Live - Danger on Tiki Island at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=44253 and...
Dumb question -- is it mentioned anywhere on the DVD which performance was taped? I'm picking up this DVD either way, but I caught them doing Danger on Tiki Island in Atlanta, and I'm just curious if the show I saw is the one they used.

The interviews in the featurette were shot in Atlanta, so I assume the program was as well.

Thanks! I definitely saw the cameras there (they interviewed a guy who was standing in front of me in line for the meet-and-greet, so I might even be on the DVD), but I wasn't sure if they were doing that the entire tour or if Atlanta was a one-off. Just ordered my copy!

Ha -- they did get me.
I'm the guy with his back to the camera facing right. I turn up one other time, but I'm barely visible...I'm just to the right of the first guy's neck.
Just posting pictures for the sake of posting pictures now:

I feel guilty doing this for maybe the 5th time in my forum life here, but everytime I see a picture of Joel I think of my favorite personal pictures; pics of me with Tom Servo and Crow taken by Joel. I was the token fan at their season 1 wrap party.
I should make it my avatar actually....

That's very cool Trevor! I have a picture of my baby son (now 17 years old) sitting on the Satellite of Love next to Tom Servo. That's one of my favorite pics.

Sweet! Did he grow up to appreciate that photo? What was your 'in' to their studios? Were you doing reviews/"in the biz" back in those days?

Yeah, my son's a fan of the show and his only regret is that he doesn't remember being on the set since he was only a year old.
No, I wasn't involved with media back then, just a fan who lived a couple of hours away from Minn. I looked up the number for "Best Brains" one day, called, and scheduled a tour. It was pretty cool. I was given a frozen waffle from the episode where they filled the SOL with them. I sealed it in an air-tight tupperware container and still have it. I have no idea why since there's nothing to prove that it come from the show, and it's probably pretty discusting by now. Oh well, I'm a bit strange, I admit it.
