10 episodes for it's 1st season. Unfortunately for those of you who are cable-less, it's on TVLand. It might stream on their website, so you will have to check for that Thursday.

I like the female leads and of course I love Betty White. I'll check this out for sure.

Alright, I never watched Frasier, but was Jane Leeves ever this sexy? Wow!

This is almost a mini-Frasier female reunion: Not only Jane Leeves, but Wendie Malick was a semi-regular in the final season.

I find it a sad commentary on contemporary society that the "women of a certain age" in this show all look 20 years younger than the women from The Golden Girls, despite the two casts being of similar ages.

I LOVE Betty White, but good God I'm getting sick of her. She's everywhere.

Still, it's that tiny bit more refreshing to be getting sick of an elderly comedienne instead of getting sick of some bland young cookiecutter actress.

I've been thinking the same thing for weeks (if not months), but I've only expressed it to a few family members and a friend because if anything happens to her right after saying it...

I'm really surprised that Betty White is willing to work on another TV series at age 88. Granted it's cable and seasons are short, but how much longer is she expecting to work? Maybe 2-3 years tops if she makes it that far? Yeah she's everywhere, but IMO it's cool to see someone of her age stay vibrant and full of life than just retire and age.

George Burns and Bob Hope both kept performing into their late 90s.

Looks like it may be a cute show. I LOVE all 3 leads and having Betty White is kinda cool.

Wow, that's pretty remarkable! The leads are around the same age as Rue McClanahan from when "Golden Girls" started (the other three women were around ten years older). Then again, my thought was the show seemed like it was three 'Blanche's and a 'Sophia' living together, so it lines up pretty well.

It's amazing how different the generations are, even if these women are particularly good-looking, well made-up, and expertly photo re-touched examples of their age group.

The cast is solid, and that I'm curious to give this a shot. There are enough intelligent people involved that I'm hoping it's better than the promos make it look.

And I don't care if she's been over-exposed on throwaway talk shows, within the context of a comedy film or a sitcom there are few people as talented as Betty White.

I agree, and add that she was pretty amazing on SNL and numerous game shows (she was on a Regis Philbin Password last year and was sharper and funnier than anyone in the room). But I also say she has been a tad over-exposed recently.

I'll watch HiC but I don't have high hopes. Maybe it will be a pleasant surprise.

Why not be overexposed at her age? What should she save it for?

And neither of them were as healthy and alert as Betty White. Burns could barely croak out a sentence, and Hope didn't know where the hell he was half the time.

I agree, 100%! I don't understand how people can complain about her being overexposed. I say, bring on all the Betty White we can get! She's wonderful!

And Abe Vigoda is 143, but doesn't look a day over 120.

(He's actually 89).

re: Hot in Cleveland (TVLand) -- Series Thread -- S: Betty White

Normally I hate sitcoms shot on a sound stage with a laugh track, but I got a few chuckles out of the 1st episode.

I really liked Valerie Bertinelli. Thought her character was adorable.

Wendie Malick was pretty funny as the over the hill starlett.

Jane Leeves.... I thought she was really sexy, the hair, the glasses and the shorts. Loved when she licked her arms.

Thought Betty White was funny in her few scenes. I liked Leeves comment about Old Women and Track suits.

Really surprised to see John Schneider guest star. I'll be back next week.

re: Hot in Cleveland (TVLand) -- Series Thread -- S: Betty White

I dig the retro fell of the show. Like the USA Today review said, this does feel like an 80s sitcom. I was skeptical about TV Land airing a new show, but it really fits in with their vibe. I have a feeling the guest star pool for this show is going to be a who's who of 80s TV, with John Schneider being a good opener for that.

I never realized how tall Jane Leeves is (5'10", same as Wendie Malick). As others have said, Leeves has aged VERY well, and looks better than she did 15 years ago. All of them have aged well, and I'm convinced Betty White will still be on TV at 100, still going strong.

While this show isn't reinventing the wheel, everybody involved at least knows what the wheel is (And in the case of Betty White was actually around when the wheel was invented), and they're playing it just right.
