Good special features on sound editing/sound design?
Does anyone know of any dvds that go into detail on the sound design of a film? I'm about to finish film school and I've been leaning towards going into that field starting out and just realized that the only time I can remember seeing anything about sound design or editing was on Jurassic Park. It seems like a really under-valued aspect of film-making and there's not a lot of attention given to it compared to say lighting or picture editing.

"Heard Any Good Movies Lately?: The Sound Design of Apocalypse Now" (Apocalypse Now: The Complete Dossier ) and "Maestro: Ennio Morricone" (The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly Collector's Set ) are a couple of good ones.

There's a good 15 or 20 minutes dedicated to this on the Transformers: rise of the fallen 2 disc dvd

How about "Films Are Not Released; They Escape" on the Star Wars: Episode II DVD? It is all about the sound design for the film, runs a little under 30 minutes.....

Thanks for all the suggestions. The only one I own right now is the Transformers one so I'm going to have to keep an eye out for the others.
