Let's make sure that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Forever is uncut on DVD!
The Ninja Turtles 25th anniversary TV movie, "Turtles Forever" is finally coming to DVD on August 24th. But it looks like the DVD will only contain the edited version in cropped fullscreen.
I highly suggest that you all email Paramount Home Entertainment and voice your discontentment regarding the improper aspect ratio and running time.
You can email Paramount Home Entertainment at [email protected]
Here's my email as an example:

Dear Paramount Home Entertainment and Nickelodeon,
My name is John Pannozzi. I am a big fan of many Paramount and Nickelodeon properties, including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. It has come to my attention that you are planning a DVD release of the recent telefilm "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Forever" (also known as "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles Forever" or simply "Turtles Forever") on August 24th. While I am happy to see this production getting a home video release, there are a few aspects about this release that greatly disappoint me and I hope can be remedied before the DVD is ready for release. According to the official sellsheet information described at TV Shows on DVD.com, the DVD will apparently be in fullscreen and have an approximate running time of 70 minutes. First of all, "Turtles Forever" was originally produced and shown on TV in a widescreen aspect ratio, and it should retain that ratio (preferably in anamorphic form) on DVD. Secondly, 70 minutes is about how long the edited version of the film shown on TV was. The full "director's cut" version of the film (which had previously been available online at 4Kids' website) is said to run about 78 or 90 minutes (sources differ), and the DVD release should ideally contain the longest version of the film. Finally, I would like this film to also be available on Blu-ray Disc, since the film was produced in high definition. While I know the Blu-ray Disc market is not quite as popular as DVD, I believe that the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles brand name could sell well on Blu-ray Disc (considering that last year, Warner Home Video and New Line Cinema released a Blu-ray Disc collection of the first four theatrical Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles films, and it seemed to sell well.) Please try to take my requests into consideration. Thank you for considering my suggestions. Please respond when you can.

While I do agree with you that this is a piss poor thing for Paramount to do, truth be told I didn't even know there was a 25th anniversary movie. Was it even any good? I love the Ninja Turtles series but releases have traditionally been terrible (one needs to look no further than the way they have released the animated series) and this is yet one more where they mail it in it seems.

Yes. It also has Krang and the various Shredders.
I liked this movie, and for reference, I grew up with the original cartoon series. Glad I still have a copy from when it was on TV. I'd buy it if it wasn't edited and was widescreen.
It'd be nice to think Paramount would change their mind after getting flooded with letters but this isn't the first time Paramount has released crappy versions of things that could be better.

I watched this on YouTube and really enjoyed it, especially the scenes with the "comic book Turtles." It's a shame that they're releasing an inferior version on the DVD.

This got decent reviews when it aired. It really saddens me that Nickelodeon now owns all rights to the TMNT franchise (sans the older New Line Films and the 80s toon). Ah well.

Paramount did a terrible job of advertising this. I happened upon it before I think I was looking up info on Ninja Turtles II and saw that it was released, like, last November.
And then it was on TV about a week later. What I saw of it looked very cool. It'd be a shame if they didn't release the whole thing on DVD.

I caught this a few weekends ago one Saturday morning, and really enjoyed it. I was also a fan of the original animated series, though I haven't kept up with any of the more recent ones.

Excuse me if my attention is more focused on getting the latest Pokemon movie released in the U.S. on DVD. It was announced months ago, but still no "Arceus and the Jewel of the Sea."

I loved the cartoon and the live action movies as a kid. This is the first I am hearing of this movie, though.

I was hoping uncut = full frontal turtle nudity, like the European versions.

I am busy petitioning for the return of the Coming Out of Our Shells tour...

I remember getting this tape from Pizza Hut and, thanks to the internet, a few years ago I was able to confirm it did actually exist since no one I know remembered it. Heck, I can still recite the entire PH baseball song from the commercial on the VHS tape before the first live action turtles movie, but that's what being 7 years old in 1990 was all about.

Thanks, I didn't even know this existed. Just watched it on youtube and yeah, pretty enjoyable for the classic turtles fans.
And I will also be waiting for the widescreen uncut version.

Just saw this and kinda like it, but I was pissed that they shitted on the 80's cartoon Turtles really bad. The were made to looks like wusses that run away from fights. I haven't seen those cartoons in a long time, but if I remember well, I never saw them run away from anything and they were always up for a fight.

I received my copy for review today and while it does run about 73 minutes with credits, the fullscreen on the packaging actually refers to a non-anamorphic 1.78:1 transfer.

There were 2 Home Videos of the tour. One was a concert video, the other was a behind the scenes documentary type video. It would be cool to have these along with the tracks as separate soundtrack option.
There was another music cassette released in 1993 to much less fanfare.
I think it was called "Cowabunga" and featured a Christmas song and a few others. Sorry I couldn't find any images from that release.
