Great Movie with a Crappy Poster/DVD Cover
Watched The Departed a couple of weeks back and thought to myself, "Wow, what a crappy cover."
I thought about bringing it up here, but then I forgot...then I came across this today.
It always pisses me off when a flick has a sweet movie poster which gets crapped on for a more marketable, usually shitty photoshopped version.
Any others?

The first few that come to mind....
One of my favorites of the decade...
It's not the worst ever, but argh, the floating heads. Why the floating heads always?
Granted, I have the extended cut as well... which features better art.
I miss a lot of the VHS box art for a bunch of horror movies. For whatever reason (original art, less of a commodity), VHS was far superior when it came to cover art.
I love From Beyond, but I hated this updated cover...
The Departed steelbook art is a lot better... I'm happy I have it
Edit: JumpCutz beat me to it!

I'm not even going to mention movies that have gotten crappy DVD/BD covers. There are just too freakin' many of them.
Instead, I'll say that I don't think any of the Die Hard movies got good posters. (Although the "Mega Hard" poster for Die Hard with a Vengeance is cute.)

The Brave One. I didn't care for the movie but the DVD cover is dreadful. Jodie Foster looks like a zombie with a badly photo-chopped floating hand holding a gun. The theatrical poster is near perfect.
