Re: Glee -- "Funk" -- 06/01/10
Glee on Facebook said tonight's music "brings the funk", and they listed Queen. In all my years being a Queen fan, I can't recall listening to any of their music and walking away knowing that I've just been served up any amount of funk whatsoever.

It was an okay penultimate episode, setting us up for the showdown at sectionals next week (or is it regionals)?
The preggo number was weird.
I think the Funky bunch number was decent (Mercedes saved it), while the last number was good, but was it really enough to intimdate VA?
The egging of Rachel was icky.

Well, the episode ended with the two leads of VA acknowledging they've never pulled off funk, and Jesse said he was depressed, so I would say they're a little intimidated.
You know they're going to win Regionals. I can't see how they would get around it, unless Figgins changes his mind about doing away with Glee Club if they don't win.

Yes, she did. They also showed a quick shot of her trying to put the toilet paper back on a roll, she was chasing Jacob Ben Israel down the hall trying to get him to help her, and she whispered something to Schue on the way out of the room during one scene. I'll have to watch it on Hulu tomorrow so I can caption it. Couldn't make it out the first time.

Apparently the Producers got my e-mail about adding a Preggo Routine.

I just saw this scene and I think it was "please love me".

I thought it was a good episode, the Will and Sue story in particular, but hit the fast forward button through most of the songs.

It was an okay episode...for me, they still haven't topped the Joss Whedon one from a few weeks back, which has been my favorite of the second half of Season 1. I did like the Marky Mark tune, though.

Not a Beck fan, but I thought Puck sounded just like him in the beginning of the song... And Im not so sure that the Glee kids have all that much in the funk department as well. I think having P-Funk as guest stars on the end number would have killed it. Oh well, look forward to next week.

That's what she was saying to Jacob as she crossed in front of Will and Kurt in the hallway, but I know I saw Brittany walk by Will in the choir room and whisper something to him. I'm having trouble finding it on Hulu. Is it possible they trimmed it out for the internet stream?
EDIT: I think they did trim off a few seconds. It was right after Will said Quinn would go first for the funk assignment, then the bell rang and he asked Rachel to meet him in his office. I'm pretty sure when it aired last night, Brittany walked by Will and whispered something on the way out of the choir room. On Hulu, it cuts quickly right to Will's office.
Maybe someone who recorded it last night can check it out.

Just reviewed the Tivo and couldn't find what you were talking about; however, I live on the West Coast and maybe they trimmed it for that broadcast.
Rewatching, I so enjoyed having Quinn back. Her song was my favorite of this episode. The choreography was a step above the usual for this show.

I really liked the pregnant song/routine with Quinn and those other girls. Even with the belly, I thought Dianna Agron made the routine sexy and her singing voice was really good.
Vocal Adrenaline egging Rachel was just mean. I felt really bad for Rachel's character. Jessie St. James is such a douche.
At Will seducing Sue and asking her out.
The Good Vibrations routine was fun even though I hate that song.
