This year's Heroes Con is coming up this weekend in Charlotte, NC at the Convention Center.

It's a huge guest list once again, and even Adam Hughes is painting something on Saturday for their Art Auction Saturday night. I wouldn't be surprised if it went for over $6,000, perhaps hitting 5-figures if the piece is stunning. The ebay auction for a guaranteed sketch from him went for over $2,500 (mainly because his sketching time will be cut down due to the painting time on Saturday).
Would love to get a sketch from Brian Bolland, but I think his line will be ridiculously long. J. Scott Campbell is finally appearing at Heroes Con as well, and I'm sure he'll be a popular guest for autographs and sketches as well. I can't believe Kevin Maguire is slated to be there as well, always enjoyed his artwork and facial expressions on his characters.
I'll be there snapping tons of photos as well, unless I get stuck waiting in some of the lines for sketches, it'll be a game time decision on whether I park myself in a line or not. It might be a crazy time for art/sketch hounds.
There's also an artist reception at "Twenty-Two", and they are exhibiting a lot of artwork from a slew of artists who will be at Heroes Con, the reception is on this Friday, starting at 7 p.m. (after Heroes Con is done for Friday). It might be really crowded since there will be so many comic art fans at Heroes Con.

I know we had a few NC-ians who went last year, so let us know if you're going again this year.
