The Arrival
I was just browsing DVDBeaver's Blu-Ray section and I stumbled upon their review of this. Am I nuts or is this thing even worse than Elf in terms of DNR?

Just checking to see if I'm crazy.

Yeah, I don't consider myself an expert on video quality, but it was a pretty poor looking disc. (though, obviously a step up from the old dvd). Sadly the film didn't hold up for me at all, I traded it in a while ago.

Re: The Arrival
A number of these Lionsgate BDs are very cheap, and even though the DVD of this title is not 16X9 enhanced, I can't bring myself to upgrade it--or a number of other Lionsgate titles I have. I'm not an expert on video quality, but caps of many of these BDs look suspiciously like the DNR knob was cranked to 11, so to speak.
