Still after Burn Notice, anything that Matt Nix created has me tuning in.

Hanks has had a brief movie career. But they're going solely for dad's name recognition there.
I have such high hopes for this show, I'm really pulling for it. Which means it'll be cancelled.

I'm hoping this will be just goofy fun. The tone of the promos does make it look like an action-comedy and won't take itself too seriously. I like Matt Nix's work on Burn Notice, so I'm optimistic.

The show is definitely shot here, that is some of the Dallas skyline in the photo, a few bits edited out. My friend said he saw different parts of town and restaurants we all know. Probably still not enough to make me check it out.

I just didn't think it was that funny for something being billed as an action comedy.

I'm in. It might help to have an appreciation of Burn Notice before going into this show, but I'm loving it so far.
The writing and editing is similar to Burn Notice, but of course it has a different vibe without the voiceover. I do like the title cards being kept as a narrative device though. The flashbacks worked well too.
The shootout at the Doctor's house was awesome. Weird to see patchy without the patch, but his work was solid. Got a Sawyer vibe when Whitford said "Son Of a Bitch" at the gas station. Everything after that was just golden, the shootout at the strip club, playing Thunderstruck, the whole car chase. Everything was just balls out and over the top, exactly what this show should be all about.
Bottom line, this is a great take on Lethal Weapon and all the other buddy cop films of the 80s and 90s.

I LOVED this last night. Highly entertaining, funny, action packed and mustache.
My favorite line came from Pedro (and it was a slight in-joke):
"Your accent, like mine, needs a little work".
Brilliant. I am along for the ride.

Is that Jenny Wade's real hair or a wig? She was having a little difficulty keeping up with the Texas twang for an accent. I think I passed out about 20 minutes into the episode late last night on the DVR, will try to watch it over the weekend, but it's an odd duck of a show from what I saw.

I loved the promos for this one, but only made it 2/3 of the way through the episode. Seemed like they were trying too hard with the comedy and action, like they wanted it to be an awesome movie, but only had 40 minutes to tell the story.

This was ridiculously silly and both good and bad ways. I'll continue to watch for awhile.

I liked it a lot. Funny and action packed. That was a great car chase on a tv budget.
I'll stick with it.
