On paper that looks pretty rough. Never thought id see Chuck as a veteran show.

They are still keeping Parenthood a 10pm show?
The Event is supposed to be their next big serial drama. I'll try it mainly because Evan Katz, one of the Producers of 24, is joining it as showrunner.
I'm surprised that they are burning off Garza on Friday Nights after 2 unscripted shows (If it doesn't change). It's too bad, I like Jimmy Smits.

Premise for "The Event" It's got a pretty decent cast.
"The Event" is an emotional high-octane conspiracy thriller that follows Sean Walker (Jason Ritter, "The Class"), an Everyman who investigates the mysterious disappearance of his fiancee, Leila (Sarah Roemer, "Disturbia"), and unwittingly begins to expose the biggest cover-up in U.S. history. Sean's quest will send ripples through the lives of an eclectic band of strangers, including: newly elected U.S. President Martinez (Blair Underwood, "Dirty Sexy Money"); Sophia (Emmy Award nominee Laura Innes, "ER"), who is the leader of a mysterious group of detainees; and Sean's shadowy father-in-law (Scott Patterson, "Gilmore Girls"). Their futures are on a collision course in a global conspiracy that could ultimately change the fate of mankind. Ian Anthony Dale ("Daybreak") and Emmy winner Zeljko Ivanek ("Damages") also star in the ensemble drama.

Apparently James Hibberd from the Hollywood Reporter snuck into their rehearsal and was the one who leaked this information. NBC has already banned them from attending the actual session at 5pm ET today.

Might check out 'The Cape', and probably 'Outsourced', but everything else 'new' is a big meh from me. I'll wait to see if any of them make it past midseason and catch up via Torrents if the show is good and has a chance of being renewed.

I wish Parks and Rec was getting a full season.
Other than 30 Rock and Parks, I'm not sure if I'll be watching anything else on NBC.

Couldn't be happier about Chuck! Hopefully, also, this (and ordered extra episodes) will ensure a season 5.
I will continue to watch L&O: SVU, but beyond that and Chuck, this network offers me little to nothing. I may try the occasional Thursday night before hockey season starts, but just about any game (definitely a Penguins game) will trump anything there.
Still, thank goodness for Chuck coming back. That's great news!

Re: NBC Announces it's 2010-2011 Schedule
It's been given breathing room at accommodate Amy Poehler's pregnancy (they've already got five or six episodes for Season Three done in advance) and -- truthfully -- help plug holes in the schedule if shows start tanking out of the gate.
One of NBC's biggest problems post-prime-time Leno was that they had no programming in reserve to stop the bleeding.

Re: NBC Announces it's 2010-2011 Schedule
I don't know how I feel about a lot of their choices. Squeezing "The Event" which there hoping to be there next big "it" show between a new freshman and "Chuck" is a gamble. And I really thought that "Parenthood" would be moved to 9pm somewhere (honestly I was expecting it at mondays after "Chuck. But I Like the placement of "Love Bites" because it sounds like an overlong comedy anyway so why not put it on thursdays....

10pm is fine for me since I don't watch CBS, and only really have to compete with ABC which has crap anyway so it means no conflicts (i.e. also DVRed vs. Torrenting if it conflicts and potentially forgetting and never watching the show again...).
Parenthood is still not a 10pm show, but keeping it there they must feel pretty good about it.
