Just an FYI, the special guest star will also appear in next week's season finale.
I hope Fringe's finale will rock the house.

Anybody else think Fauxlivia is hotter than Olivia? I am not a fan of her almost always having her hair up.

Holy fuck...that was an awesome hour.
Nice moments with Peter and his mom, Walter still bringing the sad, Olivia and her family, coupled with some pretty cool action and story developments.
I wish the "soldiers" had done more with their powers, but we got a great effect from the pyro girl. I love "alternate reality" stories too, so seeing all those little details was really fun (anyone else catch the "West Wing" TV show poster?).
I hope next week is as good or better, but so far this show really seems to know how to do a season finale and spin a cool "conspiracy" storyline that seems to be holding together nicely.

Other Charlie!
Great episode. Was awesome to see Olivia outside of her double's house, with the sadness because her double has someone but she doesn't.

Great lead-up to next week. Can't wait! This season has been much better than last season. Good balance between the stand-alone episodes and the Big Story.

Great episode. It felt a little like the X-Men (in a good way) with the other soldiers. Too bad they didn't stick around.
I recognized Jeremy from Dirty Sexy Money...then he got flash fried. I'm glad they didn't kill him, so he could come back.

Loved the first half hour, but the second ... not so much.
I could only see the potential of a team of "special" ops in an alternate universe. They specifically showed scenes of each of the agents so we would see them in a positive light, know who they really are.
Then in the second half .. Nothing but an eraser of the first half. This should have stretched over 4 or 6 episodes.
And while I am at it, they spend more time talking about William Bell than talking with him.
I see a big ugly reset button in the future. That's the major problem when you try to arc episodic TV. This show will never have 13mil viewers, get over it and transform this to an arc based drama that sweeps across a season, instead of jumping.

Re: Fringe -- 2 Part Season Finale -- "Over There Part 1" -- 05/13/10
brought this up before, and people said that it was only one alt universe/other side
but the last time Olivia morphed over to red phone charlie, they were in a reg office buliding in suits
so something is inconsistent here, well a few things
and the broad that plays Olivia's dissapearing sis must have the easiest acting job in television
anyways, what did Walternate do there at the end?
overall, i wasn't bored watching, which is what i ask for in a show

My guess is the obvious one. Walternate took a necessary module from the universe transporter, so they couldn't take Peter back. This also fits well with the death of the other agents that were needed to get to the alternate world.

It's a cheat, but it would explain the continuity error.

From that drawing at the end (the Wave Sink) and the "mC" term I have a feeling that AltEarth never had an Einstein. I could be wrong but I don't think they don't know about Relativity, mass-energy conversion, nuclear reactors/bombs, etc.
Also, did anyone else get the impression that they were fighting another universe in addition to our own? One seemingly run by "bugs"? AltCharlie kept talking about the "worm" infection he got fighting off an incursion by these "bugs".
I think Walternate is evil and for some reason needs Peter to power that device that will ultimately destroy our (and other?) universe.

The thing I liked about the episode was them putting you into the swing of things in the other universe, and you get to see how our universe seems like we're invading theirs.
Since Peter's abduction was the catalyst for all of their problems, it's probably necessary to have Peter to stabilize it...but likely at the expense of our universe. I mentioned this in previous episode threads, but it's likely Peter who will have to make the choice on which universe lives or dies (the other universe dies slowly as the rips unravel their reality, or they stabilize themselves at the expense of ours)
I immediately thought the same thing because of the clothes and because Olivia wasn't out of place with her blonde hair in that episode. The only thing I can think of is that in between that episode and this one, something happened to make the agents change from wearing suits to wearing combat gear and Alt-Olivia dyed her hair.

For my money they can just shift over to the alt-universe and stay there. Any place that uses zeppelins wins, easy as that.
