Craig Engler, general manager and senior vice president of Syfy is guest blogging on www.boingboing.net about streaming shows online, how to save a show from cancellation, etc. I know we all love to hate SyFy, but there's some solid information in these posts, and it's nice to see SyFy interacting in this way.

Talk about useless info from a suit. His advice to get a show saved: Get a lot more people to watch it.
Wow, that is just amazing advice. Why didn't anyone else ever think of that?

Ha, good to see them mention Lexx! Forgot about that show. It's cool that they're trying to reach out to fans. I do miss the old scifi channel and hope it can make a comeback.

That's what it comes down to. I think it's actually nice of him to do this, so people don't go spending a hundred bucks on little spaceships to send to ABC when V gets canceled.

I'm happy with the way Farscape ended, and there are the comics.
However there is so much they could do in that universe, but I admit I would miss the characters if it didn't focus on them.

It reads like the well-written whinings of someone trying desperately to protect an outdated business model.
Your shit be expensive to make. Figure out how to make it for less or go out of business. I'll be able to live without Caprica.

Actually most of his blogging is pretty spot on with what needs to be done. I respect the fact the he pulls no punches in his advice.
