Metalstorm: The Destruction of Jared Syn 8-3-10
I know quite a few people have been wanting this. It is up for pre-order at dvdempire for about $10 http://www.dvdempire.com/Exec/v4_ite...tem_id=1532439
I have never seen it before and if I can find it at big lots or $5 at wal-mart in a few months I will probally pick it up because i am a fan of Charles Band/Full Moon stuff

Ya the link doesn't go to the page. Just click on recent releases and it's like half way down the page

LOL. I remember as a kid, my pops taking us to the cheapy theater and watching a double feature of Yor and Ralph Bakshi's "Fire and Ice". Yor is laughably terrible but those were great memories and you couldn't stop me from adding it to my collection.

Here's a better link. It's under future releases, not recent.

I'm disappointed it's not a 2D/3D feature since it originally came out in 3D. I still remember when I saw it.

No 3D, no sale. I saw the trailer for this in 3-D at the beginning of Jaws 3-D in the theater.

Horrible cover art now posted on Amazon. Also noted that they list the specs as FULL Screen. Might still get this as it's one of the last VHS movies I still have.

Why bother putting this out flat now, when 3-D Blu-ray is already here? The movie doesn't have anything going for it besides the depth anyway. I can't imagine sitting through it without the gimmick. Maybe they'll do a 3-D blu later.

I remember seeing this movie many years ago (though not in 3D), enjoyed it tremendously back then, I've tracked the VHS on Ebay for the last 6 months but held off buying it hoping they'd eventually release a DVD, really didn't want to add any VHS movies anyway, been replacing all my VHS with DVD. I'll have to keep an eye on this, too bad they redesigned the cover, don't understand why they do that, 99 times out of 100 it looks worse than the original. -kd5-

If it's a 4X3 transfer, it will be panned and scanned. The movie was shot in a 2:35 to 1 ratio (over/under 3-D) and not matted.

I got this today. They stuck a nice clean Universal logo at the front of it all, to make it look promising. The credits are letterboxed format, to show us the full text and how wide the film was originally. The video is a disappointing pan & scan transfer however the audio is of good quality. Maybe this is a transfer off the laserdisc? There are no extras - not even a main menu.
