Cannibal Ferox (1981)
IMDB | Trailer | Review
Selected by SethDLH
SYNOPSIS:
Spoiler:
FUN FACTS: Although the tag line for the initial USA release was "They raped and killed his sister while he watched helplessly. Now it's his turn to Make Them Die Slowly," nothing like this happens in the film.
Umberto Lenzi used the same music as he used in his earlier film, "Mangiati vivi!" (Eaten Alive!) (1980), in this one.
Spoiler tags are unnecessary in these discussion threads, so if you have yet to see the film BEWARE OF SPOILERS.

It doesn't have the technical merit or quality of Cannibal Holocaust but I think it embodies the Italian Cannibal genre perfectly. Sleazy, trashy, gory... I love it.

I had gotten way behind on the horror film club selections. Sorry!
I totally agree with SethDLH on this one. Cannibal Holocaust is the better movie, but this certainly serves the cannibal genre well. Plenty of gore and violence.
