Hmmm no extended cut? hopefully the deleted scenes include the rumored 30 mins or so of footage of the Gods. It wasnt the worst thing ever made but definitely fell short. Too much of an action movie with no heart like the original.

I was hoping for both a theatrical cut and a director's cut.
And why do studios waste money making these awful covers rather than simply use one of the vastly superior onesheets?

I'd consider it if it was a recut DC, but it sounds like that's unlikely to happen ever. Part of me is relieved when I can cross one off my upcoming potential Blu purchases... lol.

What's w/ WB cutting films lately?
I think McG was to blame for the cut we got on T:S, I still want the Terry Crews cut which included Terry Crews and other scenes with "story"
And this. C'mon....us give that alternate cut to us.

Oh, don't worry. Everywhere OUTSIDE the wonderful United States, there will be a Director's Cut, a Medusa head, and Pegasus statue...all packaged in a classy case.

Just saw the movie today on the last day before my 1980 Clash BD coupon expired. Thought it was an entertaining-enough popcorn movie so might pick this up. Agreed that it's a terrible cover, but I don't like the poster with the kraken either--seems like a spoiler. Yeah, I know that those images have been all over theatrical publicity, and they'll always be all over google and wikipedia, but I'd like to think that the post-theatrical generation will be able to pick up this movie and not get that reveal automatically spoiled.
On the other hand, I guess that's how the 1980 poster has been for years...

Bestbuy.com is currently selling this for $12.99. Probably a price mistake, but I placed an order. Hopefully they honor it.

Due to the cost of the conversion they went through and cut quite a bit.
We actually screened the early cut of the film at work a few times prior to the premiere, you really arent missing much from the stuff cut the good thing about all the cut footage is that you dont have to see great actors such as Danny Houston and Alexander Sidig do there best with horrible dialouge and bad direction.
