I am enjoying this show so far even if it isn't exactly what I expected from the commercials. I got the impression it was going to be more cat-and-mouse between Olyphant and Walt Goggins. I suppose that is the over-arching conflict of the season, but I was expecting it to move more quickly.

It's like a deadwood reunion with bullock, we had the preacher & harry manning in this episode, and looks like dan is in next weeks.

Now that's what I'm talkin' 'bout. Badass episode all around. Loved Ava taking the guy out in the van and the way they shot the opening scene with the gun flashes.

Should be interesting to see how the Crowder family drama plays out.

Best ep of the series.

Solid episode

Should get even better with Papa Crowder finally making an appearance.

That was the first episode we didn't see the hat. Great episode. I'm glad we're getting more in depth with the Crowder storyline.

One thing that didn't make sense. After Raylan took the gun from the sheriff in the backseat, the sheriff got out of the car. I thought the backseat of all cop cars was locked from the inside.

Did anyone else recognize the long haired inmate that was going after Boyd? I know him from something, but can't put my finger on it.

Just watched this today. I thought it was a great episode. I was a little taken aback by how easily the hitman was taken out. But, the ending, with Papa Crowder, was great! Builds plenty of places to go in the last half of the season.

I'm having a little trouble with the "in the car" shots. Just way too cheap. I don't recall, but it looks worse (the cheap aspect) than with other FX shows. I hope they fix that up in the 2nd season.

I've noticed that pretty much every show shoots interior car shots with a green screen. It's not just FX.

Yeah...24's are horrible this season too. It sucks...they got to faker ways of making TV when more and more things are going HD and shit like that stands out like a sore thumb. I HATE it, but I'm learning I'm going to have to live with it.

Just read that the show got picked up for a 2nd season. WOO!!

It probably is just easier for consistency sake with the background. What if you have to redo a line? Do you want to make sure you're driving in the same spot?

some shows lately look more like "6x6 home movie screen positioned 3 feet from the window with am image projected on it from a home 16mm camera from the 70s"
green screen usually looks better, still fake at times but better quality than what we're getting to see lately

I know (or have thought I have seen, anyway) that many shows do, but for some reason, it just seems like Justified takes the top spot in looking absolutely craptastic.

Honestly, if that's the worst complaint I can make, it must be a pretty damn good show. It doesn't ruin anything, but just so obvious that it does stick out like a sore thumb.
