Title pretty much sales it all. Mr. Show seasons are $12.50 too, and Ali G as well... but the highlights, I'd say, are the complete series sets (each only ran one season) of John from Cincinnati and Tell Me You Love Me. I finally bit the bullet and ordered these as blind buys for a total of $25 shipped.

Would you recommend either one of them as a blind buy? I've never even heard of them.

John from Cincinatti is the one i'd want more. But I'd be satisfied to rent that . The other, Tell Me You Love Me, I can't imagine watching more than once as I saw it when it first ran.

I saw "John from Cincinnati" and was terribly disappointed. It's a weird show (which is good) about a strange guy who just shows up in a town one day and starts giving cryptic advice. The thing is that the series ended after one season and noting was resolved. Yeah, the last episode had some closure, but they never answered any of the big mysteries that were constantly popping up through the show. When all was said and done I wish I had chosen another show.

I went into John from Cincinnati expecting something like deadwood (same guy behind them). Once i viewed it on it's own, it was a strange assed show, but full of fun quotes and was certainly "different" than anything i had seen on HBO before. It would be well worth 12.50. i wouldn't however pay 19 for it.
Tell me you love me, is worth the 12 if you want to see the chick from the old burger king office commercials really naked.
