DVD Talk review of 'Emma'
I read Jeremy Mathews's DVD review of Emma at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=41136 and...
Maybe we haven't seen enough of these types of things, but the wife and I recently borrowed this from the library and we both enjoyed it very much. We'll have to look into more of these classic novel adaptations, though now I'm afraid they'll spoil our memory of enjoying this.
And I did enjoy the lead actresses performance, though she reminded me of a young Katie Sackhoff, and every time Emma would get a puzzled look on her face, I was reminded of Sackhoff's near constant Starbuck-going-crazy faces from BSG.

Glad you enjoyed it Milo—as I hoped the review conveyed, I fear I may have simply had my standards set a bit too high! It's still a very enjoyable piece, though, and I'm glad you liked the lead performance.
