Stingray Sam on DVD (Cory McAbee - American Astronaut)
Ok, maybe it's just me or maybe the search function isn't working again, but I'm seriously surprised almost a month after it's release, not to see a single thread about the fact that Stingray Sam is out on DVD.
http://www.corymcabee.com/stingraysam/ - yes you can only buy it off his website, but dvdtalk has reviewed other films before in similar situations (Legend of God's Gun, etc). I can't be the only person who knew it was out. A number of different releases out, though personally I recommend the deluxe package (includes soundtrack CD, t-shirt and signed photobook among other souvenirs).
Cory McAbee's sophomore feature is another great piece of work. Kinda similar in theme and [shoestring] budget to The American Astronaut, it's a ton of fun. Filmed in 6 10 minute episodes - the first movie made specifically to be watched on cellphones apparently. Great style, great comedy, great songs(!!!). A ton of fun all around - if a little weird...but that's to be expected.
The one disappointment is the lack of a commentary on the DVD. Was really hoping for one - would have been really nice to get some more background on making something like this.
Anyhow, highly recommended - check it out!

Thanks for the heads up on Stingray Sam! Didn't know anything about it.
I really enjoyed The American Astronaut. Here's my review, if you're bored...

A few reviews of the film itself are available at twitchfilm.net for folks interested. Didn't think to link to them directly in the first post.

I enjoyed it. Some episodes are more entertaining then others. It's not in the same league as The American Astronaut, but it's good fun.
