How Many of Your DVDs and/or Blu-Rays in your Collection Are Unwatched?
I am wondering for all those that collect a ton of DVDs or Blu-Rays frequently, do you have any you still have not watched. Do you schedule time to catch up watching before buying more or are you behind in everything you have. If you collect a ton of DVDs, when do you plan on catching up?
I have around 80 DVDs/Blu-Rays and only about 11 titles from my collection that is unwatched. How many unwatched titles do you have and how do you make time for them if you have a bigger collection?
When I am tight on bills I, like this month is when I try to catch up on my collection. What is everyone else's strategy?

I have a fuckton of dvds. I am extremely far behind in watching stuff and will probably always be so.

I've been logging everything in the monthly unwatched threads. I'm also way behind, but I made up ground in March. If I maintain the pace I established last month, I'll have everything watched in about 5 years.

287 entries as shown in DVDprofiler. I think I'm at about 50 percent.
I've been watching a little more but I also have not been buying much.
I think I calculated how many unwatched minutes/days I had once and it was frightening. I haven't done it since.

Not many....maybe 20.
Edit : It seems I was slightly off. Just glanced at my DVD catalog, which is color coded (unwatched films in red, black for watched), and it tells me that there are 187 still to watch.

Not many, I have an unwatched pile as a constant reminder. They don't get placed on the shelf, until they are watched.

Yeah, you need to see the monthly unwatched threads, many of us are in the thousands.
I've been disorganized since DVDSpot died, but never really tracked watched/unwatched much.
I have around 1,000 unwatched DVDs I imagine, and a couple hundred TV seasons perhaps. For the last two years I've been averaging 1 DVD per day, and 3 TV seasons per month. I buy slightly less than that, I hope.

That happened to me as well. I didn't pay close attention to watched/unwatched numbers there but I did glance on occasion. Now with my collection in a Google Doc, figuring it all out is pretty much a lost cause.

I think I'll be much happier and productive, and buy less 'oops I have that' titles if I bite the bullet and just buy a full featured program.
Yes, I think Google Docs file could be awesome, but you need the patience to input every detail for every title. With 5000+ titles and a desire to track all sorts of data on them, a do-it-myself option is not a viable alternative. I'm much too lazy.

Only 67.
38 of them are movies.
The rest are TV show box sets, including the Complete Twilight Zone, Get Smart, Garry Shandling Show and Ally McBeal sets. Making over 950 individual TV episodes to watch.

There are no unwatched DVDs on my shelf. I am not buying anything that I am not intend to watch in, let's say, one week.

About 85% of my Inventory is waiting to be watched, but I'm in no hurry. As it currently stands, it will take me AT LEAST A DECADE to watch them all!

Out of almost 1000 DVDs, i think 150 of them at least.
I can't stop buying cheap DVDs. I mean, u better buy it while it's cheap and available.
Like the ones you can find in Big Lots. I had to grab it now before it's gone and can't find it anymore.
That's why the unwatched DVDs keep on piling. Sometimes i feel bad, but i can't help it.
I usually watch around 400-500 movies a year. Last month (March) i've watched 59 movies.
well u watch movies but you keep buying more, sooo yeah it won' come to an end

I had been making progress and not buying a whole lot this year, but $1.87 per title is too tempting. I've bought at least 100 so far.

Often times I buy stuff when it's on sale so I don't have to worry about paying full price for it later on. I have curbed my buying in the past couple years and really only buy stuff I plan on watching in the next 30 days or so. I don't too much of the "bargain" shopping I used to do where I'd sweep up a ton of DVD titles just because they were cheap. Seeing them still unwatched in my collection and not seeing any time to be able to watch them makes me think I really didn't "save" anything.
Of course I do have some titles that went OOP and am glad I don't have to spend a load of money on a used copy. Likewise, I suppose, I passed up on some stuff in the past couple years that will be OOP when I do decide I should buy them. Such is life, I suppose. All I know is I don't have time to watch everything I really want to watch.

I have yet to watch seasons 2 and 3 of The Beastmaster that I've had for almost two years now. Just never got around to it. But I have another question. Do you have any dvds or blu-rays that you've watched but will never watch again ? Me ?...
Watchmen (the dumbest ending that I have ever seen)
Grumpy Old Men Double Feature (I have the blu-ray, which is widescreen, so I don't see the need for the 4:3 standard dvd)
